We couldn't ask for more in our short stay in Emerald Isle. We arrived and we really felt like at home. When we arrived we met Viju, in a few minutes he arranged all our stay, a massage, trip through the little canals and villages...More
We had a wonderful stay at beautiful Emerald Isle Heritage Villa. Vino and his staff were extremely kind, friendly and attentive, and their service really made the stay very special. Meals were served at a long table outside under a canopy, lit by candles at...More
THE PROPERTY: This is not the first time I’ve visited the idyllic Emerald Isle, and it certainly won’t be the last. A beautiful heritage property in Alleppey, far from the maddening crowd. The rooms are clean, comfortable and roomy and the bathrooms large with an...More
Beautiful grounds, comfortable accommodations, authentic Keralan cuisine, warm, friendly and helpful host and staff. We enjoyed walking all around the adjacent neighborhoods, meeting local people and kayaking and canoeing through the criss-crossing waterways. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.
We recently stayed for two nights and wished it had been three! It was the perfect oasis after a busy tour in other more urban parts of India. The food was wonderful. The staff was attentive. The beds were very comfortable!

We also stayed at the Abad Turtle Beach for our final week and thoroughly enjoyed it. The hotel restaurant does carry a limited supply of Kingfisher that can be purchased with the evening buffet (200r) but have no objection to taking your own in. It's virtually impossible to buy alcohol anywhere on a Sunday, so it's best to queue up at one of the drink outlets (Kingfisher large bottle 70r). It's a bit of a free for all and best to go with a taxi driver who knows his way around. Abad rooms have a small refrigerator to keep a few bottle cold. Nearest alcohol outlet on the main Kochi - Alleppey highway about 400yds south of the crossroads on the inland side. P.S. a half bottle of local gin, perfectly acceptable, was about 450r. Hope this helps
