Only view is nice as it on the hill, swimming pool room and toilet is very dirty with bad smell. Ants are everywhere in room and front terrace. Very very poor breakfast . No management that can make decision you can speak to, only few staff and can't make any decisions they can only say apologize. Better Avoid this poor resort.
We didnt get off to the best start as we had a broken safe and no air conditioning. Once we were moved our experience improved. Vanna Hill is in a great location, on the edge of the national park which meant we had monkeys visit us early one morning. Its only a 10 minute walk to the Crab Market and 20 minutes to town and the beach. Its a quiet location apart from the cockerels that make themselves known all day long. Our accommodation was basic but ok. Like a number of things here the mattress could do with updating as it had a huge dip. The sunloungers by the pool were falling apart but the pool was amazing and we had it to ourself most of the time. The Wifi is good but can only be used in public areas. We had no signal at all in our room. The restaurant is fine for breakfast but we avoided for any other meal after our first try. With the crab market so close there’s no reason to eat at the hotel. …
Stayed for 1 night as part of a 15 Day Wendy Wu around Cambodia classic holiday Arrived late due to our bus breaking down. The room was clean had a 4 Poster bed, Miskito nets and fridge freezer Rooms are in individual buildings on a variety of levels. Path ways are lit but a Torch can be helpful after dark. There is a small pool close to the open sided restraint. Two dogs roam free in the grounds, but staff will lead them away if they get in the way. Although room was equipped with Miskito nets did not see or hear any.
Vanna Resort is located in a secluded place near a national park. It has spacious grounds, a large pool, an open air breakfast area, noisy roosters and slippery paths with irregular boulder pathways. Rooms are separate more like small cottages with a hammock on the balcony outside. Our room had 2 single beds which we pushed together to make a large double. There's a flatscreen television, bathroom and small refrigerator. Dogs roaming the breakfast area were rather offputting especially as the female was on heat right underneath our table. They need to be kept away from the food areas even though they are pets and in good health.
We had one of the bungalows at the back of the resort - free standing with a veranda with a hammock and a steep walk up the hill!! It also had a cricket(?) that chirped all night ( sounded like a smoke detector!)The room was large, the shower only provided luke warm water and had issues with the drainage, our toilet completely stopped working on the morning we left ( we had to use the toilet near the pool) but everything was clean. Dinner was a little odd, pumpkin soup and deep fried fish and chips ( dreadful) breakfast proved cook to order bacon and eggs ( not much else) the pool area was lovely with a nice view. The staff were pleasant although their English was a bit limited.
