Detailed Reviews
We had an extended stay at this great property. It is in an excellent location and Andrea and her staff could not have been more helpful and accommodating from helping with long term scooter rentals, transportation to and from airport, Visa advice and generally things to do and see in Kampot. We were traveling with adult children and were accommodated in an AC "family room" which consisted of a main room with very comfortable King bed, an large and well appointed bathroom, and a separate room with two twin beds that allowed us all to be together, but also afforded privacy . Breakfast was included and it was well beyond our expectations. Also, the property has one of the best Happy Hours every night and a great way to view the amazing sunset every night as it is right on the river. We plan to come back for another stint of volunteering work in this amazing city, and would defiantly stay here again as our first choice. The manager and all the staff knew our names and preferences and schedules almost from Day 1 and, as I said, could not have been more accommodating and helpful. Tipping is not the norm in Cambodia, but we felt so grateful to staff, we recommend leaving a small tip for the housekeepers and breakfast staff.

Rikitikitavi is truly a unique small hotel. The location on the riverfront is excellent. The upstairs bar and restaurant is perhaps the best in town - for not only the view but also the food and service.
Rooms are on the main floor - set back from the road so no noise. Our room was very well equiped and comfortable. Well decorated, comfortable bed, good wifi, mini bar. Thein is the manager and is excellent. He seems to be always on duty very attentive to both customers and staffing. He assisted us in renting a mtorcycle and arranging our transport back to Phnom Penh. Can't say enough. A great place to stay in Kampot.

I had high hopes for this hotel as we are travelling long term and it was a bit of a splurge after staying in budget places. I was not disappointed I loved it, the rooms were beautiful it felt very comfortable and cosy. In fact it was the best thing about Kampot!
We loved the amazing collection of films and managed to catch up on some independent films we have been meaning to watch for ages.
The staff are lovely and helpful. They seemed so content.
The breakfast was fab I looked forward to eating every morning. Loved the homemade lime marmalade the lime and honey crêpes ohh and the homemade lemonade.
Happy hours were amazing lovely cocktails and nibbles with beautiful views across the river.
Wish I was there now . Thank you

Post covid tourism infrastructure is recovering very slowly in Cambodia and finding a hotel/resort with no bad surprises is a challenge. After a booking mishap with another local boutique hotel nearby, it was very pleasing to just walk in and have a very nice lunch on the clean well kept rooftop overlooking the river, while our room was being readied. Denise and her staff were very helpful with honest and insightful tips : south of Cambodia is not easy travel these days. We enjoyed breakfasts (again : with a nice river view on the terrace) and recommand coktail hour!

Described by The Lonely Planet as Cambodia’s best run boutique hotel! It’s true. It is what all Far East boutique hotels should be like.
Rooms are big and a fusion of Asian inspired decor. The rooms are downstairs and and the bar upstairs, we even had a small patio. As a family of 5 we always struggle with rooms and a family room is always for 4. The manager Denise however was so kind and let us bring our blow up mattress and sheet sleeping bag so we could be together. Something that would never be allowed in Europe. It was hugely appreciated
They have a great restaurant with delicious well priced food and do delicious cocktails and during happy hour are 2 for 1. The highlight of this establishment is the Dutch owner Denise, who went out of her way to chat to us, give us tips, arrange a tuk tuk to the caves on one day and a taxi to Sihanoukville the next. She is the perfect host. The location is also amazing by the river. I would not hesitate to recommend you to stay here. I hope we can come back one day.
Ps. Recommend ringing or emailing direct to get the best price.

I saw this place on my first trip to Cambodia in 2010 so it's been around a while. My tour company on that trip put me at the Bokor Mountain Resort up the street, which wasn't great. On this trip I and three Khmer friends decided to try Rikitikitavi and had a lovely two nights. The rooms were nicely decorated and everything worked well. Bed was comfortable. The restaurant has nice water views with colorful lighted boats at night. The room rate included a basic breakfast with barista coffee which was satisfying. They have a well stocked bar and 2-4-1 happy hour from 4-6 pm. Credit cards are not accepted here which is a hassle considering the price point. But at least they warned me in advance so I could bring enough cash.

Great boutique hotel . Not many rooms but each one is individual and artfully designed - one of our’s has a bed raised up on a gallery. The area can be a bit noisy at night given there are a few bars a few blocks away and the front bedrooms can pick up street noise but not all the bedrooms have that issue and the confit Mort and service if thr hotel outweigh this downside .
Staff were very friendly and always happy in their work . Management were natural hosts.
We also ate at lunch and evening as well as tried out the happy hour cocktails in the interest of providing a review of course! All were excellent
Highly recommended

This place never fails to delight us. As expats living in Phnom Penh, we are always happy to get away from the city with our family to enjoy a bit of quiet on the coast. This is our second time here and it’s the perfect B&B style spot. The rooms are very well appointed, the décoré is exactly what one would think of, and the food and bar are great. The owners are extremely hospitable and do everything they can to accommodate the guests. For those that have taken issue with the noise, one should take note that this is a city in Southeast Asia. Much like staying in any major city, there will be street noises and such. If you must have absolute silence at night, then it would be best to find a location off in the country side far from all the amenities and attractions of Kampot.

My family was volunteering in Kampot and we need a place to stay that would function as our home. Even prior to our visit Andrea was great providing me with information. She was extremely prompt in returning emails. When had booked another hotel for the first few days of our trip as Rikkitikitavi was sold out. We had wanted to rent scooters for the month but didn't want to relinquish our passports for the entire time. I went over to talk to Andrea and she arranged for scooters even prior to our stay. Once we arrived the entire staff was welcoming and helpful with any need that came up. I would highly recommend and look forward to returning.

+1
There are good reasons this place has nearly a 1000 reviews and 5 stars.
The converted rice barn property makes for a beautiful setting. The quality of finish and attention to details would make this a special place anywhere, to find it in rural Cambodia is unbelievable.
Lovely room, beautiful restaurant with sunset views over Bokor and the river. Happy hour cocktails and excellent food add to the ambience.
If you are in Kampot give it a try you won't be disappointed.
Denise and Dom are knowledgeable hosts and provide in depth info on the hotel and area. During and before our stay they were incredibly helpful, providing us with up to date information during these strange Covid travel times.
Thank you Rikitikitavi we will be back.

They did when we stayed earlier this year.
Hello John. A taxi from Phnom Penh to Kampot is around US$50. You can book through your hotel in Phnom Penh or go out into the street and find a taxi and negotiate a deal. Sometimes the tuk tuk drivers can organise this but remember
US$50 is a fair price. Book at Riki Tiki Tavi as it is the number one choice in Kampot. We loved it. Try and get the family suite. It is a few dollars more but with plenty of room to move and a little private courtyard outside. Enjoy.

It's a fairly small hotel but I don't recall seeing any meeting rooms. The owners are great and extremely responsive on email. If you email Denise I'm sure she will try to help you out or point you in the right direction.
