I saw this place on my first trip to Cambodia in 2010 so it's been around a while. My tour company on that trip put me at the Bokor Mountain Resort up the street, which wasn't great. On this trip I and three Khmer friends decided to try Rikitikitavi and had a lovely two nights. The rooms were nicely decorated and everything worked well. Bed was comfortable. The restaurant has nice water views with colorful lighted boats at night. The room rate included a basic breakfast with barista coffee which was satisfying. They have a well stocked bar and 2-4-1 happy hour from 4-6 pm. Credit cards are not accepted here which is a hassle considering the price point. But at least they warned me in advance so I could bring enough cash.
My girlfriend and I chose Rikitikitavi to celebrate our anniversary and enjoyed it a lot. Amazing food, really nice view of the river and staff were very helpful and attentative. We'll definitely go back again.
We really liked staying here -- the location, cleanliness, room, service were all great! I only have one complaint -- very, very weak AC. So, kind of a rough night's sleep. But maybe other rooms would be better. They did bring us an extra fan. The breakfast was super awesome! Overall, it was a really great hotel and I would stay there again!
We stayed at Rikitikitavi for 5 nights. The hospitality was fantastic! The staff went above and beyond. The breakfast choices were great. We enjoyed happy hour and loved the dinners we had there. Perfect spot on the river to enjoy sunset.
When planning our Cambodian adventure, I asked for advice via the Tripadvisor forum, and I am so glad that I did as it led us to the wonderful Rikitikitavi Hotel in Kampot. Our 5 night stay here was one of the highlights of our month long trip. The hotel is of a high standard and very comfortable. The bedroom was perfect and it was good to have air con, a fridge and a lovely bathroom with the option of a hot shower. The food in the restaurant was so delicious that we ate there every night and worked our way through the menu. The Cambodian meals were the best we experienced on our trip. What made our stay though was the fantastic staff. They have been so well trained and every single person gave first class service. Huge thanks to Thien and the team for helping us plan our days and for inviting us to share in the blessing by the monks. Kampot was a lovely place to visit. It was lovely to sit in the hotel bar overlooking the river drinking cocktails whilst watching all the fishing boats go out to sea, the sun go down and the brightly lit pleasure boats set off. We enjoyed our moped trips to the salt fields, cave temple, secret lake, pepper plantation and Bokor Mountain. Our visit to Kep was interesting and confirmed that we had made the right choice by staying in Kampot.…
