#8 of 44 hotels in Kampot
Set in a tranquil location to a backdrop of river and mountain views makes Two Moons the perfect choice for a relaxing stay yet only minutes to the center of town. The hotel is located on the main riverside street and the heart of Kampot province, yet far enough to benefit of the calm and tranquility of nature. Turn left and walk 200m and you are in a local fishing village with its early morning seafood market; a colorful display of large and small fishing boats on the go in an area primarily populated by Cambodian’s belonging to the ethnic group known as Cham, a reference to an ancient empire of warriors. Turn right and stroll along the beautifully upgraded riverside promenade, passing the newly built governors mansion and in to town just a ten minute walk away. We offer twenty rooms in total with a wide variety of accommodation options including wooden bungalows, a traditional Khmer wooden house and a fourteen up market hotel rooms with views over the river.

I went to Kampot to get away from it all and the Two Moons hotel was just what I needed. It was recommended to me by a friend and I was very happy. There is a very relaxed atmosphere, very relaxing pool area, I was given a family room as I mentioned I would like a strong wifi connection, and apparently the ground floor was my best bet... I was not disappointed as I did enjoy a hassle-free wifi connection throughout... The family room I was in had a large bed and a smaller bed, a cupboard with fridge, bedside tables, a table and two chairs, a coat rack and a spacious bathroom with shower... there were tooth brushes and shampoo & shower gel... and hot water :) The room was spotless and spacious... perfect... This being the horrible era of Corona, the hotel did not have any international tourists, but there we still a good few domestic tourists (like myself) , but it was never crowded... The pool area is large enough to never feel crowded... The hotel is within spitting distance of the river and within easy walking distance of the center of town and lots of shops and restaurants... I can recommend this hotel to anyone really... solo travelers of families...

Stayed here during a national holiday and had a great time due to the staff working here. Everyone was super friendly, accommodating to our needs and most importantly - genuine. We really appreciated the atmosphere of the place that was generated by the staff. In addition, the rooms were clean, the grounds were nice and full of trees/plants and everything was reasonably priced. Everything we needed was organised, bus, moto hire etc with no fuss. Thanks a lot guys, will definitely see you again.

We chose the hotel because of the pool and the proximity to town and on those fronts it didn't disappoint. It was so nice to have a pool when the outside temperature was well above 35 degrees! There were enough sun lounges and drinks available if you wished. We ended up staying here a little longer than scheduled due to the travel restrictions imposed in Vietnam and the hotel was very accommodating and got us a different room for the remaining time so we didn't have to change hotels. The room itself (we stayed on top floor) was spacious and clean but the air con was a bit of hit and miss. If you had it on you were cold at night as they only provided a thin sheet and without it the room was boiling. I ended up having it on and covering myself with an extra towel. In the end I kind of got used to it and it didn't detract from the stay. We didn't have breakfast in the hotel but the options looked decent. The location was good, a nice river side stroll to town. The next door hostel was quite loud late at night but I just used earplugs which are essential in Asia 😂 the value for money was excellent so I would recommend it for when you are in Kampot.

Almost everything was excellent about this hotel. A special thank you to Rahim, One Shot, and Smile, some of the super friendly and helpful staff. Rahim taught me a bunch of Cambodian phrases/words which he encouraged me to practice during our stay. We enjoyed a few drinks with One Shot who made us feel like friends. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. There were a few deficiencies (loose tap, and burnt out light bulb) which we only told reception about when we checked out as they didn’t detract from our stay. Fair warning though – the in-room safe is a large box on wheels under the bed. The pool was clean and refreshing and had plenty of loungers to relax in. Breakfast was average but inexpensive and the coffee was best we had in Cambodian hotel. Location was just across the street from the river and waterfront walkway and felt very safe to walk around even at night. Not far from the main part of town. We booked a few tours through the hotel and they were excellent. Orchid Tour up to Bokor Mountain was well worth the $13 USD per person and the tour guide Tuen was excellent. Note: book the Crab Boat to Kep well in advance if that is something you are interested in as they were sold out for several days so we had to take a tuk tuk instead.

This is the fourth guest house/hotel that we have stayed at in Kampot - we come here quite regularly. It's better-equipped than most places, and the lovely pool is what makes it. The rooms are clean and offer a really great outlook over the river as the sun sets. It's a walk of about a kilometer to the Old Market and the main shops/restaurant area, but most of the time there's no need to go any further in the evening than over the road (to the Rusty Keyhole). There was also a street market/fair that took place outside the hotel virtually every night we were here that is really entertaining too. Many Khmer families bring their kids down here to play on the fitness equipment (the kids think it's a playground!), eat the fresh-cooked food and ride the little train or go on the inflatable giant slide. The staff here are fantastic. All are really welcoming and bend over backwards to do whatever they can to help. There's a little kitchen beside the pool that turns out little snacks that are filling ... There's also a bar that serves nice cold draft beer - just the thing as you laze by the pool on a hot, steamy day! We'd come back here in a heartbeat. Perfect place for a base to see around Kampot. Keep is only 40 minutes by tuk-tuk; the Bokor National Park is just across the river and the pepper plantations are nearby too.
