Detailed Reviews
I stayed for three nights in a Queen Deluxe on the first floor. I was on my own and a little unwell on two of of those days. I had the most fantastic support and service from Thavy, the manageress and her team. In addition Thavy recommended what dishes to choose for dinner at a nearby restaurant and I had an excellent meal.
She recommended a day trip to La Plantation which was perfect.
These are the things I loved about this hotel:
1. The street outside is quiet
2. The bed and cushions are very comfortable and the cleaning is unobtrusive.
3. The room and the communal areas give a restful atmosphere.
4. The air conditioning system is not noisy.
5. The breakfast is gorgeous - I had crepes one day and cereal two days. I drank cold coffee with condensed milk so cannot comment on the coffee generally.
6. The location is excellent, so easy to walk to numerous places to eat and explore.
7. Being met outside the door on returning to the hotel at night and Thavy waving farewell as guests left

The finest little hotel, perfect located close to the river and to all the restaurants but still in a silent street. Clean rooms with all you need, The sweetest staff, and breakfast with freshly brewed coffee, and homemade mini bagels and banana cakes. (See pictures). One of our 3 days we had really good vegetarian sandwiches for lunch as well. We recommend warmly.

We stayed at the Columns for 5 nights while in Kampot and was made to feel extremely welcome by the lovely young couple who run it. Nothing was too much trouble and they helped to arrange tours and recommended places to see or eat at. It is an old colonial building situated no more than a 30 second walk from the main street, bars and restaurants. The breakfast was ordered from the menu and was very good and served with homemade bread and small cakes. As stated, this is a colonial building so the rooms will not be as large as some of the newer or modern hotels but it was more than adequate along with the shower. We would recommend this hotel and we loved our stay here.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this charming hotel. The hotel is well-located, and within walking distance to local restaurants, the riverfront etc. The rooms are immaculately clean with all the needed creature comforts.
The breakfast is delicious with a lovely variety and the muffins and mini energy bites which are made in-house are simply the best. We enjoyed it so much that we bought extra for our flight back to South Africa! A real treat!
Thavy and her all lady staff complement are truly amazing. So helpful, friendly, and genuinely hospitable. It was a lovely stay at this gem of a hotel.

We got here for New Year’s and it was one of the last places we could get into. We paid US$75, which is far more than you would pay outside high season. Hence, I cannot comment on the prices.
The hotel does not have an elevator, but that’s not uncommon with local places.
The breakfast is very good, rooms are clean, no problem with the showers at all.

The manager who I fail to remember his name could not have been more attentive and friendly. He helped with everything from recommendations of restaurants and bars to helping organise tuk this and day trips. The breakfast was delicious!
We had adjoining rooms which were at the back so we had no view but they were clean and comfortable and cool. We only stayed two nights but I can’t fault the hotel.

2 blocks from the riverfront, quiet, clean and tidy.
The lady who’s family owns it was very helpful and nice.
Lovely breakfast was included. 5-6 choices including fresh fruit or cooked breakfast with coffee and juice.
Lovely renovated colonial building.

+1
Centrally located boutique hotel on quieter side street and close to action in Kampot. Reception is attentive. On-site staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are good sized with nice amenties including safe, AC, bottled water and coffee. Bathroom is large with separate area for dressing sink in bedroom. My room had small window facing back and was darker (not a problem). Walk-up with luggage assistance offered. Set menu breakfast with good coffee in lobby/dining area. Doors lock at 11 pm with after hours entry by phone. Walkable to city center and riverside. Plenty of restaurants, bars and convenience stores nearby. Easy check-out. No pool or gym.

We spent 2 nights here, and its a really beautiful place. I cant imagine that there is a better place to stay at in Kampot. The colonial building is beautiful and furnished with a lot of love for details.
On the first night, I was a bit unlucky (hence only 4 stars) as the ac in my room didnt work (and it was extremely hot). I moved to another room, with a functioning ac, and ended up staying there. That was okay, but the first room was definitely better....
However, the owner or manager of the hotel was extremely friendly and kind, as was the whole staff. Breakfast was really good, and we got a really nice & still warm brownie on the afternoon. Should I return to Kampot, I would definitely stay here again.

Another lovely visit to The Columns (my fourth). This is such and understatedly beautiful place to stay in town. Thavy is so kind and couldn't be more welcoming and helpful; she organised tours and transfers for us. Breakfast choices are delicious.
Highly recommended.

This is a super hotel, I stayed two nights with a group of 16 people so it can accommodate the numbers you require. I don't know if it has a meeting room as our group was going out all day every day so had no need for one.
Hopefully you hear and get request as found staff friendly and accommodating, can't comment on grade of room on 2nd floor with shutters as were higher up with balcony. However as not on riverside either way there is no real view from rooms but street side best option.
