The camp/lodge is within Mikumi NP, and the view from the bar or balcony over the plains below is spectacular. The balcony is also a good place to spot a few mostly nocturnal mammals (bush babies in particular, but also ganet, civet and honey badgers). Staff are friendly and food served is good and tasty. Tented rooms are clean +... More

Wonderful tented camp, great food, they even showed us honey badgers from the safety of the raised dining area and bush babies came to stare at us as we ate! We moved here from another camp that was just infested with giant millipedes, and were very glad we did. Service was great, staff amazing, and of course the park is... More

It was the most incredible hotel in our life !!!!! Only tent without windows, fresh air, animals around and unexpected conditions. Everybody was so friendly, we were welcomed as very closed friends. Manager is great and stuff knows what to do . You don't need to ask about anything. It was the best adventure for us in our life. I... More

Glamping style. I was so surprised when we turned up. The welcome at the start was both informative and funny. All the staff were amazing and helpful. Food was amazing. Simple and home cooked. You can sit by the pool or enjoy the bar after your meal. Electricity is limited but not a limitation. You don't need it out there... More

This was a pleasant spot in a remote location. A welcome treat after what we had before that. A very well managed lodge with great views of the Mikumi Plains below and nice evening entertainment with its nocturnal visitors. Tents are well appointed, new bathrooms, good beds and clean. Food is good and camp fires round off the evenings nicely.... More

What a fab find at the end of the day! A bumpy road up to the place but a warm welcome and views to die for. Recommend tent 2, the tent is gorgeous and the view from the veranda amazing. The place has limited electricity which comes on at 6.30-22.30 at night, you are given solar patterns and the water... More

Being an avid African traveller I have visited a fair number of lodges across the continent but never have I felt the need to write a review before. However for Vuma I really did! Vuma offers a totally unique feel with its stunning accommodation so cleverly designed to feel apart of the landscape around it. Set on top of the... More

We were expecting to be staying in very basic tented accommodation on our budget safari in Mikumi National Park. We were very pleasantly surprised with Vulma Hills. The tents are amazing... clean, spatious and with funky decorations. The manager was really informative and friendly, all staff were helpful and the food was great. By far the highlight of our stay... More

Vuma Hills is like no place you've ever been! The tents are amazing, complete with bathroom and shower. Set up on stilts, each tent has a porch and some tents are situated in such a way that nighttime visits from animals like elephants are totally common! Our tent had two full sized beds with comfy pillows and blankets, a small... More

Do you want to see honey badgers and you are not so lucky so far simply because they are night animals? Go to to Vuma Hills Tented Camp and you will see them. Most probably. I saw them during both nights when I stayed here. The staff put out kitchen leftovers close to the camp restaurant and you can see... More
