We stayed here from August 17-20 and truly loved every minute. The lodges are the most beautiful beehive design with everything you could need in them, along with simply incredible views across the reserve and its breathtaking sunrises. We had a great excursion with Mr Coleman to the battlefields, enjoyed a unique Zulu dancing display and feast by firelight at...

This is such a wonderful review and thank you so much for taking the time to put this on TripAdvisor. We have wonderful staff who embody the spirit of Isibindi in the way that they interact with our guests. We are sorry about your car issues but glad Nicole and Marnus could step in and help you out.

This place is totally delightful. We stayed here after safaris in Kruger, KZN and a trip to an amazing beach on the Indian Ocean. The reason we were here, was to learn something more about South Africa's history. We had scheduled a day with a guide/historian to visit British vs Zulu battlegrounds. The accomodations were unique, but private and spic...

That sounds idyllic. What a treat to be the only 2 in the lodge. It really is a unique type of experience and it sounds like it was the perfect addition to your South African tour. We hope you made lasting memories. Regards, Dee Wilson Marketing Assistant

Had a wonderful stay at Isibindi. Discovered this gem by trawling through the internet. So well priced - food was fantastic. Because it is small you get to know everyone at the lodge. The reason for the trip was a visit to the battlefields something my partner really enjoys. So the weekend was a full one, with the visit to...

Well where do i start! did i 'miss' having a telly in the room? absolutely not! from the moment of booking (once again Kerin thank you for your assistance) to the calls from Bruce to ensure we were okay on our 'road trip" which was a bit tricky navigating at night (one has to be aware of the cows in...

Stayed here for 1 night whilst visiting Rorkes Drift, but could easily have stayed for 2 nights. Beautiful accommodation with private balcony overlooking the stunning game reserve. The evening cultural show of Zulu dancing was so brilliant and very atmospheric.

We stayed for 3 nights in a zulu-style beehive hut (the honeymoon suite we were told). No aircon, but kept cool with ceiling fans. Very few bugs. Great view from room. The Zulu dance evening with dinner and beer tasting is recommended, and instructive - it taught me never to touch Zulu beer again! The game drive in the grounds...

I decided to stay at Isibindi Lodge for one reason only - to visit the Zulu War battlefields - and was not disappointed. The guide laid on by the Lodge (Mike Nel) was exceptional and really brought those terrible events to life and give us a very clear picture of both the strategic context and the tactical challenges. Well worth...

Amazing trip to the battlefields. The Zulu dancing and singing was genuine and not the "canned" variety. Unexpected birthday present for hubby was thoughtful. Hosts could have been around more instead of having to search for them. Three or four flat tyres on camp vehicles on a Saturday was laziness. I would recommend this beautiful lodge.
