Khowarib is certainly in the bush but well worth the drive to get there especially as the roads are quite good. This is not the Hilton but the permanent tents are clean comfortable and are equipped with ensuite and a fridge.

The lodge itself is built taking into account the landscape. The tented rooms face the river, with water running in it all year, unusual for this country of mostly dry river beds. Our terrace was built around a tree and the next room had a...More

Going up this road there is only a choice of the fort at Sesfontain or here at Khowarib. Pleased we stayed here in a nicely appointed tent with river view and outside shower/ loo. A walk up and through the river is fun, good for...More

My wife and I are planning a 2 night stay at Khowarib Lodge in the coming weeks (Sept 8-9) as part of our Namibia trip. We are very excited!
We're trying to figure out at which spots we might have wifi or computer access (e.g., at the reception) to check email for emergencies back home, etc.
I can't really find any mention of that on their website, so I'm guessing it might not be available?
Any other thoughts about the upcoming trip are well appreciated! Thanks! -K

We had satellite wi-fi till Aug 2016 and then we stopped it. The reason for this was that people/visitors don't realise how remote they are and then they expect the Wi-Fi to be 110% fast and efficient. Like I said it is satellite Wi-Fi and if you get more then x5 people downloading or up-loading files it is very very slow, and then we get people complaining, so we decided , NO WI FI.
