You stay at the Gatlinburg Inn because you like the feel of the place. The comfortable wood and leather furniture. The warmth of the paneling on the walls. The glow of vintage lighting. Huge historic prints of the National Park on every wall. Meticulous attention has been given by the staff as they run the hotel from day to day,...

The hotel is immaculate. The wooden floors gleamed. All the bathrooms and been re-done and the comforter and sheets were white. The rooms were a tab small and every now and then you would catch a whiff of must but that seems natural for a hotel built in 1936, quaint and charming. The staff were professional and friendly. Breakfast was...

Old and we wanted an updated bathroom but they didn't have one available. The room was clean but our sliding glass door to the outside didn't lock. The rooms are very small. Everyone is very nice that works there. The only major problem is they charged me twice and it has been almost a week and I have talked to...

You have to take it (and love it) for what it is. It's an old historic hotel. If your looking for a modern room with all the bells and whistles, you should probably go somewhere else. Our room was clean and comfortable. The Inn has tons of community space in the lobby to relax by the fire. The central location...

There is a lot of history at this hotel, starting in the 1930's. It is in the middle of tourist Gatlinburg, next to the Ski Lift. The Lobby and Common areas are nice, you can sit on the porch next to a fireplace or in one of the common areas if you like. You get the feel of a park...

I was more than pleased with the Inn. It is centrally located, staff are friendly, breakfast is provided and the rooms are quite spacious each with a balcony. As several reviews have noted, the rocking chairs on the porch are charming and great to relax and people watch. Housekeeping could be upped a bit, in my opinion; we 'kind of'...

We go out of our way to stay at the Gatlinburg Inn. Our first time was for our honeymoon years ago. This visit we had the Blue Room. Was wonderful. We enjoyed sitting in the living room curled up in our chairs with blankets! We felt like we were at our Grandma's! We always enjoy the desk staff and the...

Stayed here 4 nights, arriving Oct. 31. The location is great, and the staff was very friendly. Buuut.....unfortunately, I found the place to be not only dark, but dingy. I realize the decor and furnishings were selected to keep the Inn's historic feel, but old shouldn't equal dirty. And yes, the carpet was filthy; our footwear turned black on the...

Thank you for your recent comments. We are sorry that your visit wasn't satisfactory. We realize that our historic atmosphere isn't for everyone and we are sorry that was the case with you. The electrical and lighting are issues that we hope to address in the near future but to this point updating the sleeping rooms and bathrooms, common areas...
