The apartment was dirty. Long hairs were found on the walls, towels, sinks, stairs. Handprints and food smeared on the walls. The floors were sticky. They claimed to have maintenance show up in a 2-4hr window, which never happened. They didn't do anything but change the bedsheets the following day. The toilet was constantly running and the furnace and air ducts appeared to never been maintained either which can cause mildew and mold and interfere with your health.
I've been working with Tony Perez on our upcoming trip and he has been outstanding with making sure our family has all the accommodations we need. Thanks again Tony for all of your help and advice on fun family things to do.
Lovin it cabin was great. Nice location. Wonderful staff. Quiet surroundings. The place was great for our little family. Nicely stocked with dishes and all. Staff checked in on us during our staff to make sure we were not in need of anything else.
We compared prices with other cabins in the area, and this one seemed to have the best deals, location, and customer service! Justin Wall did a wonderful job helping us find a cabin that accommodated the needs of a large group! Only 4 stars because we have not stayed at the cabin yet. Will leave another review after our stay!
We stayed in the Mama Bear's Den this past weekend and absolutely loved it! There was so much for my kids to do and the location was perfect for all the attractions between Piegon Forge and Gatlinburg. We are already looking at other cabins for our stay next year!
I only gave this place a 5-star review to get you to read it ... this is a ONE Star review (if that)! My family of 13 stayed at this resort (cabin "Eight is Enough" in June of 2022. We weren't allowed to check-in until 4:00 p.m. as the unit had to be "cleaned" from the previous occupants. What we found upon entry utterly stunned us - the place was filthy ... sticky kitchen floors with dust, dirt, and cobwebs throughout the cabin and the basement had an almost overwhelming musty smell. Speaking of the kitchen, we found the sink faucet handle broken, the vent above the stove so greasy we went through quite a few paper towels just wiping our hands, knives up the wazoo, but hardly any forks, no hand towels, some cabinet doors and a refrigerator shelf broken. Pictures showed 8 stools at the counter, we had 4. Two of the six kitchen table chairs were so rickety we had to set them aside. Upon further inspection we found two of six glass shower doors off their track with one door completely off. One of these showers had only COLD water (mine). When we found that the air conditioning for the third floor didn't work, we called the site manager to have it promptly repaired. A maintenance worker came out at 6:30 p.m., stayed until 8:30 p.m. only to have it break again the next day. The second maintenance worker again placed a band-aid on the unit to get by until we departed. With the exception of this incident, management response to any of our other issues was almost nonexistent. The mattresses for the Queen Bunks need to be replaced as they are sunk in the middle and there were exposed nail heads on the bunk bed threshold. On a side note, neither of these maintenance workers were able to repair the kitchen sink faucet handle. Reading the "Amenities" list we found the cabin not to have a "CD Player", a DVD Player", "Ample Parking" - enough for three small cars, 9 of 16 rickety "Rocking Chairs", no "Ramp to Cabin", no "Stereo", no "Premium Cable", no "Wi-Fi", and no "Porch Swing". Additionally, one of the Twin Sleeper Sofa's is unusable because it can't be opened - the pool table is in the way. The pool area was a little better (and I mean a little). From our cabin we had to drive there, again with very limited parking (get there early). The hot tub was cold and green, and the lady's bathroom was disgusting (so I was told), filthy, no TP, and full of garbage. And finally, on our last day, we put all of our garbage on the front porch and called at 8:30 a.m. for a garbage pickup. We then left for Gatlinburg for a day of debauchery (think distilleries and wine tasting). When we returned the garbage was till on our front porch. We again called for a pickup; no one came. This is when the management company put our lives in danger. Two large black bears came onto our front porch scavenging through that garbage. The only thing that kept them from coming into the cabin on the main floor (where my wife and I slept) was one door. I truly hope you find this "5-Star" review extremely helpful.…
We have stayed at this resort the last six years and have never had an issue. The cabins are always clean and have comfortable beds. My kids love all the games the cabins have to offer. My husband and I love privacy and the hot tub.
We stayed 6/11-6/18 2022. The view was amazing. The cabin was great. We truly had no issues at all. It was clean and we did not see one bug the entire time in the cabin. The beds are fine, i wouldn't say they are super comfortable but it is a rental, not your home. The hot tub was running when we arrived and working on getting up to temperature. You could tell it was just cleaned and waiting for us. All of the amenities worked fine. (Tvs, arcade, pool table, air hockey, wifi, etc..) When we arrived I did notice a rip on one of the couches, I called the number to make sure i reported it and did not get blamed for it. They answered and stated they would send someone to fix it. I told them not to worry about it, it was minor just didn't want to get blamed/charged. The resort called me on our second day to see if we were doing good and needed anything. I requested more towels and they delivered them that night. If I had to be picky and point out things we noticed they could improve it would be the following: 1) A full length mirror someplace in the house would be good 2) A full size iron board 3) New pool sticks, Two other minor things but i still give it a 5 star overall 1) Our check in was about 90 minutes late. I wish they would of let us check out late due to that. 2) A few cereal bowls had been put away dirty. Not the resorts fault but maybe the could check for that during cleaning.…
We spent couple of days at this beautiful "Mountain Getaway" resort with amazing views. Very quiet and peaceful. Loved the 'horse' theme of this resort on both levels. The higher elevation offered breathtaking views.
I was truly embarrassed to have my family stay at this dump. Mountain Theater Lodge Dirty, ants, wore out carpet, wore out kitchen cabinets, light fixtures missing, one of the burners on the stove did not work, Did I say DIRTY! The rental company did not leave enough towels and washcloths for the 16 of us. They knew there was 16 of us and the left 12 total. I have rented from many Companies around the mountains, this was 10 times the worst, looked as if the air filters had never been changed. It was a big 6 bed room, 6 Bath room cabin. The only saving grace was the 6 bears that like to visit the cabin.
