Great little hotel right off the banks of Lake Superior. Nothing too fancy, but also not a shady hotel. Nice little breakfast with bread, fruit, yogurt and cereal. Pool/hottub looked a little sad when we walked in, but were actually very nice when we actually went to try them out. Very clean pool area, pool was warm and the hot...

Room was fair, a little musty...... Price gouged due to weather. Front desk lady seemed to be a know it all in the worst way.... As in she knew nothing. Snarky and rude sums it up. The Continental breakfast provided was just ok.

This is a pleasant-looking property overall. Lobby is clean and attractive, and desk staff was friendly. Continental breakfast was adequate, but nothing to get excited about. The pool (always very important to us) wasn't open early in the morning as we like, only opening at 8 AM. Pool is small, and water was a bit murky; hot tub had a...

When my husband called to book a room they told him that their hotel was a nice & clean place. We arrived at 3:00 am and went right to bed. The beds are unbelievably hard and old so our sleep wasn't very restful. In the bright light of day we were shocked to see how dirty & rundown the room...

Nothing wrong with this hotel at all, but it could use some updating and TLC, especially for the rates they're charging. Room was clean and spacious, but everything (carpet, fixtures, windows, curtains) was a little worn out and dated. Pool and hot tub are great, really well maintained and located in a nice glass enclosed space. Staff was friendly and...

The rooms are clean and the staff is very friendly. We stayed over during the week while on a quick family get away. Our son loved the pool! The beds are a little firm and need updating, but all in all this was a nice hotel. We would definitely stay again.

It is a short walk to Lake Superior, restaurants, and even a health food store. Though decor need updating, the room was clean and comfortable. My 5 year old and my husband enjoyed the pool. Continental breakfast was okay, no eggs. Very reasonably priced compared to the hotels nearby. There was no microwave in the room, though there was one in...

Very nice spot. My husband and I stayed one night at the Aspen Lodge to celebrate our anniversary. The facility is very clean and inviting. Check in was quick and easy. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, though decor is a little spartan and slightly out-dated. It looked like guests were enjoying the pool, whirlpool, sauna, and sundeck. We didn't because...

Older hotel. Could use some improvements. Our room needed window repairs, new window coverings and could use some new bed coverings etc. It was however very clean and everything was operational. It's difficult to find a place to stay in Grand Marais during this time of the year so we basically took what we could get. Still priced high even...
