Our overnight visit was wonderful. Our room was clean and although faced the street side was cool and inviting. Everything we wanted to see was within walking distance. Quaint little town with just the right number of touristy shoreline shops. Very affordable. Only downside, as this is a rather old hotel, is that there were very few electrical outlets to...

I made a reservation online for a 2-night stay. I called the hotel a week before our arrival, just to make sure of our reservation. When we arrived, about 6:00 pm, we tried to check in but were told that my name wasn't in the system. Being it was a very busy weekend in Grand Marais, I am SURE they...

We have been coming here for year's. This year was the warmest and the management was very accommodating and made sure the 80+ yr old aunties were comfortable. We enjoy staying here so close to all the shops, close to walking out to the light house and the lake views are awesome. I'll have to say over the years we...

Stay was ok, no ac & the motel is in dire need of maintenance and general cleaning. I'll include some pictures that illustrate some of those issues. Management is poor, just a lot of talk and not much do. When we checked out we didn't get a thank you or "view was your stay". Breakfast is a total joke. We'll...

This "motel" is a vintage building. I'm not sure there is a location any closer to Lake Superior than the Shoreline Inn. It is aged and dated but it's a good value and in the middle of everything in Grand Marias. There is no patio more spectacular to the Lake than this. I wish I could give it 5 stars...

We arrived about 20 minutes before check-in time. When we walked into the lobby there was a couple talking to the lady at the desk. They were obviously already guests and were just chatting. When they finally moved away, the phone rang. The woman picked up the phone, still without even acknowledging us. The phone conversation was interesting in that...

This was our second stay at the Shoreline Inn. The first time was a few years ago, we were satisfied and would probably have rated it at least "average". This time we have to rate it as "poor". Upon checking out our room, we noticed the toilet paper hadn't been replaced. Not a big deal, we asked for more and...

The hotel was very comfortable and had a nice view of lake superior. They had breakfast. The staff was very nice. The hotel also was very close to everything in town so we could walk everywhere. The one complaint u have is if you run the sink in the bathroom while someone is showering the water will become hot or...

Enjoyed our time at the Shoreline Inn very much! Spent time reading in the lobby looking out over the lake. Very friendly front desk! Room was clean and cozy. Walking distance to everywhere in town! Loved the stay!

If you are looking for the Ritz, this is NOT it! But if you are looking for a good value in Grand Marais without bells whistles or a pool, this is your place! We have stayed here a few times over the years and have never been disappointed. The staff is always helpful, friendly, accommodating, and efficient. Between the time...
