We stayed in early January, 2015 and were amazed at the beauty, charm and solitude of this special place. We were in Cabin 10 and it was perfect for us. Owners and staff were very courteous and helpful. My wife and daughter loved their massage and we all loved the dog sleds. This is the true Minnesota. We are definitely... More

My family stayed here last summer for a reunion. It was perfect for us. Two of our families stayed in the lodge and one stayed in a cabin. The lodge rooms were very convenient (my teens could easily walk over to the office area to use the internet--this may have changed by now--they were working on getting internet access from... More

We had the great pleasure of staying in Cabin 10 at Bearskin last week. It was simply perfect--huge rock fireplace, lots of trees, trails right out of our front door. The sauna was great--cabin was very clean and up to date. We loved it!

We stayed in Cabin 3 and were very happy with cleanliness, comfort, and conveniences. Great system for using Hot Tub House and Sauna so everyone has private time in them. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Boats, motors, and pontoons were in great condition. Plenty of privacy on the grounds. I think Bearskin Lodge attracts naturally quiet people who want... More

For several years we've been join up to Grand Marais during the winter months to spend a long weekend with friends. Last year while driving around on the Gunflint Trail we stumbled upon The Bearskin Lodge. It was a beautiful place. Right then and there we booked a 4 day weekend for early October (2014). Our timing couldn't have been... More

Thank you for the kind words! We're glad you loved your cabin. We remember you went out moose looking that morning -- hope you had luck spotting one. Bearskin has a different chef almost every season, and the chef plans the featured menu. It was an unusual menu this fall, and we won't repeat this one. Our weekend winter chef,... More

Best accommodations and Service on the Gun Flint Trail. Picked fresh blueberries, canoed/portaged on East Bearskin to Crocodile Lake and more. Excellent hiking trails. Great beach, boats, canoes, kayaks and playground. Just in from our annual trip - 14th year in Cabin #2!

Stayed at Bearskin for 1week beginning Aug.2, 2014. Three generations including 11 and 14 year old boys. Stayed in one of the cabins. Fished, swam, canoed, picked blueberries. Loved every minute. Cabin was nicely furnished. Staff terrific. Will return.

Just returned from a 3 day family get-away at Bearskin Lodge and it was wonderful. This was our first time staying this far into the Gunflint Trail and I expect we could not have asked for a better experience. This is a peaceful and tranquil place. Each cabin/lodge has its own dock and we had the whole row of four... More

The wife and I stayed at Bearskin Lodge the night before our entry into Boundary Waters. We got up there a little late so we didn't get much time to enjoy all the lodge has to offer but we were impressed. There was a nice hot tub house, sauna, lodge, and lake available to guests. There seemed to be plentiful... More

We had dreamed of a fishing vacation to BWCAWA for years. We knew nothing of this lodge when planning began, but found outstanding reviews for it wherever we looked. There were five family members in our group and all had a fantastic time. The boats were nearly new, well maintained, and fully equipped. The cabins were clean comfortable, and were... More
