We go to Brooklyn a lot. We have done the AirBnBs, but if you want consistently wonderful accommodations and fabulous staff to look no further than the Henry Norman. You will never be disappointed. Perfectly place in the center of Greenpoint , easy walking distance to the parks and restaurants. The staff are a caring group of people. They are hip and friendly and give great advice when you are visiting the area. A big shout out to VINCENT AND DWIGHT. Those two staff members consistently went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Thanks for everything.
A beautiful place in a clean and safe neighborhood. Upon arrival Vincent and Stephanie welcomed us and provided useful details about things to do in the area and great restaurants. They were both very friendly, helpful, and polite. Vincent spoke Spanish, which was a plus since we are a Hispanic family. Our suite was lovely, spacious, and comfortable. My child had enough space to play and lounge. The decorations in the suite as well as the hotel in general, were stunning. Dwight assisted us during checkout, he was very kind and noble to us, especially to my child…any parent knows how much that matters! We will definitely return!
This hotel was amazing! Really cool decor! Even the ceilings are beautiful! Very clean and the staff was so friendly and accommodating. Alden checked us in and upgraded us to a more spacious room w a couch and 2 TVs. I slept on the couch and my friend slept on the queen bed. Both very comfortable. Place was really clean too! Breakfast croissants and fruit was included and very good. Stephanie was so nice and heated up our croissants for us in the morning. Nigel checked us out and was such a pleasure to talk to. Everyone so friendly and helpful! I can't wait to come back again! This is my new fav hotel!
Stayed here with my sister because we were seeing a show at Brooklyn Steel. It was not only convenient to the venue, the hotel & the room were unique & beautiful! Alden, Martin, Isiah & Stephanie were all great, and Dwight went above and beyond to help us with anything we needed. We will definitely stay here again!
This is a cute charming place. what makes this boutique hotel EVEN better is the staff: Stephanie, Middy and Issaiah have been so accommodating. The design and that it is was once a newspaper mill. it warm and welcoming and having lobby, lounge type space spanning 2 levels creates a great atmosphere It was exactly what we needed and more.
We had an excellent experience from the first phone call- BTW- they answer the phones! - to loading up the car Vincent- Martin- Stephanie— ALL personnel were helpful and willing to help The rooms are generous and clean The only criticism would be breakfast: the continental has all quality pastries- but no healthy choices such as yogurt or cerise for children! This hotel is a gem
My wife and I took a 4-day Valentine trip to NYC and decided to stay in Brooklyn for a change, rather than Manhattan, just to mix it up. We are glad we did and are extremely happy that we chose the Henry Norman Hotel. The property itself is lovely. It is in an old tile factory that has been beautifully refurbished. The common spaces are attractive and very welcoming. One morning we just hung around in a cozy corner of the lower lobby and read our books. The continental breakfast is in a nice space and consists of great danish, pastries, croissants, cookies, juices, fruit and excellent coffee with a selection of teas. The location is great - highly walkable to a zillion little restaurants, shops, etc. (which the staff will help steer you towards). The Henry Norman is just a 10 minute, very pleasant walk to the Nassau subway stop on the Green Line, so it's easy to get into Manhattan and to the other boroughs. The staff tells us that the neighborhood is even more vibrant in the summertime. We stayed in room 404 and it was perfect. Large, with a nice kitchen area, sitting room and big bedroom. The view was spectacular; looking on the Manhattan skyline with all the iconic buildings identifiable. There was even a lovely terrace which would be a spectacular place to sit in the summer (we need to come back when it's warmer!). Value was great; we've paid much more for much less remarkable rooms. The staff was unbeatable. They were extremely friendly and helpful in finding places to eat, things to do, etc. Dwight called me the day before our arrival to check on details (I'd ordered the "romance package" to surprise my wife; it was lovely and definitely worth it). Stephanie and Vincent checked us in and gave us plenty of time, clearly trying to make sure that we were happy with everything. Issaiah was very helpful - he was a great help with restaurants and even checked out one of the local bars/restaurants that we found ("The Esters"; a five minute walk away and highly, highly recommended!). We also had great interactions with Alden, who was really friendly and delightful. I'm sure that the rest of the staff is great too, but these were the five with whom we interacted during our stay. In summary, you really couldn't find a better place to stay in Brooklyn. We'll definitely return!…
Really nice hotel in a great part of Brooklyn. Greenpoint is a really book area, Citi bike stand about a minutes walk away and straight to Williamsburg bridge to get you into the city. Staff couldn’t be better, especially Vincent and Dwight. Would definitely recommend and I’ll be staying here next time I’m in NYC
Amazing hotel for family. Staff kind and helpful from moment of arrival through end of stay. Issaiah, in particular, went out of his way to help us again and again. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We’ll be back!!
I LOVE this hotel. I booked my room based on reviews that I read. The staff were so friendly and professional and the hotel itself is beautiful. My room was very spacious with a separate living room area, and it is by far the quietest hotel I have ever stayed in. It's as beautiful as any hotel in Paris or London and very reasonable prices. Just so impressed with the accomodating and helpful the staff were. My first choice always when I come to New York and want to be close to Brooklyn.
