The Ace Brooklyn is magical and flat out cool, while also providing an elevated hotel experience that makes it a must-stay. I love the beautiful design put into every detail- the co-working table, lobby bar, restaurant, and "garden" room are all like museum pieces. I could easily spend my whole day in that main floor. My room was incredible, with a leather couch, desk, amazing bathroom, great smelling soap and hair care that made my skin and hair soft. Truly, every detail is delightful. The staff are friendly, fun, and very helpful. Finally, I loved being able to pre-order a bagel from connected the Black Seed Bagel co. next door from my phone before i went to bed, and pick it up downstairs in the morning without having to step outdoors. Highly recommend this hotel- I will stay here again!…
Hard to beat this location in downtown Brooklyn right by the subway and within walking distance to Dumbo. The rooms are well designed and full featured. Helpful and friendly staff as well. Would definitely stay there again.
Great hotel with a really fun vibe! I had a corner room that was beautiful and the bed was really comfortable. And the view was awesome! I will definitely stay here again—everyone I was traveling with was happy with their stay/room too.
The staff are friendly, efficient and always available. The bedrooms are a good size and well kitted out. There is a fridge, a steamer, coffee/tea, drinks, snacks and hairdryer. It is possible to have a complete blackout effect using the blind and curtains. The rooms (we were on the 5th floor) are quiet. The mattress and pillows were very comfortable and all our party agreed that they had a great sleep. The bar downstairs has a good range of drinks and the restaurant books up quickly, so be sure to make a reservation early.
All in all, this was a great experience. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet as requested. The hotel has a hip vibe going for it and our room even had a guitar (somewhat out of tune but it’s the thought that counts) in it. Also the staff was very friendly, constantly welcoming us and saying goodbye each time we arrived at and left the hotel. Only downsides were at check in we were told to go left to find the elevators when in fact they were on the right. Minor issue but it did involve us having to go on a hunt to find the elevators which seemed a bit unnecessary. And also one morning there was minimal water pressure and tepid rather than hot water. I would expect a bit better than that given the room cost. But other mornings were fine so maybe it was a onetime issue? All in all a 4 star experience and I would certainly return (in my experience it’s super hard to find good hotels in Brooklyn).…
We really loved the Ace Brooklyn. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The location is great. The decor is beautiful; the bed is really comfortable. We were pleasantly surprised by how quiet our room was. We regretted not having time to try the restaurant. We will definitely be back!
Beautiful room, comfortable bed, high quality linens/bedding/towels, down pillows, spotlessly clean throughout, great minibar. Loved the photo booth. Staff very cordial. Plenty of comfortable seating on main floor. Secure elevator. Wonderful food and attentive staff at the As You Are Restaurant and Bakery.
While working with the ACE staff, I was especially impressed with Mickey and Marc. They had great attitudes the entire time, helped with various aspects of the room setup and went above and beyond to make sure my experience was pleasurable. They even helped me move a large artwork from the top floor to the lobby, and it wasn't easy! Thanks guys!
The Ace Hotel is smack dab in the middle of all the commotion of Brooklyn and a short jaunt to the Barclay Center. The Ace is all about it's lobby with a galaxy of public workspace, a lush garden , a ceiling clad with skylights and a groovy bar area with nifty seating.......giving off the aura of a residential living room that draws guests and a bevy of locals. The hotel also graces itself with origin works from local artists. I enjoyed my One Bedroom Suite with an abundance of wood furniture that gave off the appearance of an urban cabin offset by pops of colour and local art. The room featured dabs of industrial architecture with exposed concrete and warehouse windows. A desk, sofa, a spacious bathroom adorned the accommodations and for a touch of funkiness, the room had a turntable with records and an acoustic guitar......I could pretend to be a rock-star. The eating highlight of the Ace is the casual all-day 'As You Are' restaurant that passes as a eatery, bar and bakery and menu inspired from a multitude of culinary traditions. I twigged to the octopus mezcal ragu and especially the Brussel Sprouts veggies. I forgot dessert and headed to the bakery for irresistible creme brulee donuts........ brought some to my room. The 'Lobby Bar' is spectacular, bounded by monstrous concrete columns and a spotlight window. Cocktails are classic and the area is complemented by the 'Garden Bar' providing yet another watering hole. I went to the gym for my exercise regime but couldn't help gawking at the novel design of the space with vintage equipment, wrestling trophies and body building posters........all in keeping with the Ace' funky vibe. If you are looking for a Brooklyn hotel where the lobby is king and the place to be ........... ..........then try the...........Ace Hotel..........A Lobby Lovers Paradise. …
We only briefly mentioned we were celebrating a birthday when we booked the room, and was surprised with a free upgrade and an incredibly sweet birthday note and drink vouchers in the room when we checked in. The attention to detail made us feel so special, thank you! Everyone we had interacted with, from the front desk to the bartenders were so nice and helpful. Thank you for an amazing night!
