Cleaner were very detailed in cleaning the room and providing me with anything we requested. Always has Xiao Ping come to my room every morning and do a detailed clean. She also goes above and beyond to help and always quick with her cleaning.
Had a great experience here. The room was nice and clean and the staff was super friendly and helpful. Daquan at the front desk was awesome. There is a nice little restaurant in the hotel that I had a drink at one evening to start off my night. Although I didn't eat there the food looked good. Great coffee shop in the lobby to start off the morning and the hotel is real close to a bodega right down the street. I would definitely stay here again.
If you get a chance to stay here, I hope Chantelle is working. I stayed the weekend for my birthday for the first time in New York, she was so friendly and made everything else and care free. The hotel has great views of downtown.
GREAT STAY LOVE MY CLEANING LADY XIAO PING SHES SO ATTENTIVE ALWAYS MAKE YOU FEEL COMFORTABLE. She needs to be the manager very soon !!! Always clean and always understandable. I arrived here in December and each day I request for her I would like her to only clean my room !!
I have stayed in Marriott Hotels almost a thousand nights. This hotel is by far, the worst. They put us below the night club and kept us awake until 330AM. We asked to be moved 3 times, they would not. We were told the Manager would call 3 times by hotel staff and 3 times by Marriott Titanium Customer Service, never got a call. I could go on about other major shortcomings of this hotel and its argumentative wait staff in the restaurant, but I have spent too much of my life on this already. Take it from me. find another hotel.
Location for the hotel is terrific, right in Downtown Brooklyn. Great proximity to subway, shops, restaurants and underground mall. As expected, parking is problematic and even difficult to unload luggage from the car at the entrance due to its being on a narrow street. Self-service parking is available right around the corner for a very reasonable $35/night. Check-in staff is very pleasant and accommodating. Our room was ready hours before our arrival and was confirmed by text. Elevators work fine. We had no problem with waiting for the elevator or too many people. There are several elevator banks available. Room was clean and had a wonderful view. Bed was very comfortable and heat/air conditioning worked fine. Two issues of note, for which I only give a 4 star rating: 1) Water pressure was variable. We were on 25th floor and the water pressure continuously cycled from medium to low pressure every 30 seconds or so. This made it important to use the sink and shower 'strategically' and anticipate low water pressure. Fortunately, it self-corrects (after about 30 seconds) 2) Beware the 25th floor: One floor above is the Kimoto Rooftop Lounge. On both Friday and Saturday night, we could not only hear, but also feel the bass vibrations from the loud music playing above us late at night. It didn't stop until about 2 AM both nights. We were fortunate to have ear plugs, but could still feel the rhythmically thumping bass. I would hope, but can't confirm if lower floors have the same problem. Despite this, we will likely return, but choose a lower floor.…
So my sister and I are here for our birthday weekend and it's not starting out great. The hotel website is false advertising, no Starbucks and noexican restaurant. There is a coffee shop and an Italian restaurant, the pool is not available to guests. The vending machine is on one floor and only takes cash and the front desk does not have any. They have you pay for your stay in full when you check in along with $250 incidentals, which I've never seen before. The heat in our room was not working and no other suite available to move to, so we have a space heater that we have to move from room to room. Totally disappointed for $500 a night room.
This was our second stay as it's in a great location for my husband and I for business. We had a very good stay the first time and about the same this last time. As a Titanium we did get a suite upgrade which made a big different. We did loose being on a higher floor, but the room size made up for it. We did find in the smaller rooms you don't have a fringe, but the suite did come with one. All the places nearby make this very convenient to getting around. I do agree with reviews that note customer service can be a bit inconsistent and that walls are thin. Without the lounge open it's frustrating that you get breakfast vouchers and always have to pay more.
The property location is not an issue -- It's close by to a lot of restaurants, subway, etc.. Can't blame the property for being in a shadier part of Brooklyn, but that's how it is these days. The property itself is very busy, you might have to wait for the elevators quite a bit. The service, however, is where I have issues. Do not disturb signs will not get respected, and expect housekeeping to knock on your door or just barge in. Combined with the aging hotel room decor, along with the absurd hotel prices in NYC, I wouldn't say this place is worth it.
I normally sleep well in Sheraton's but this hotel has the most uncomfortable bed. Please also believe the other reviewers complaining of roaches in the room. I didn't believe it and stayed anyway, I woke up in the middle of the night just from being so uncomfortable and when i turned on the light there were 2 roaches crawling on the floor. Stay away
