I have stayed at many place but Gowanus Inn & Yard was such a good experience. Considering we’re in the middle of the pandemic house keeping definitely did a good job cleaning up all public spaces. The rooms are definitely spacious and vacuumed. The staff was very kind I actually had help by one of the front desk staff name Betsy she definitely recommended a couple places to eat around but I definitely liked the spot across from the hotel name Dino BBQ. If your looking to stay around Brooklyn this is definitely a good spot I’m looking forward to my next stay.
Always a good stay. Definitely recommended. Nice cafe and clean rooms. Nice stay area and good food around the city. Nice litte getaway from everybody in your regular daily life. Will book again very soon
What a dump. Not only I was lied to about the dog fee, I was told it would be $20 for the 2 nights I stayed, they charged me $75 when I would have just left my dog at home but the photos are a complete bait and switch. This place is dirty, gross, it smelled of marijuana and cigarettes the whole 2 days I was there. I was told this was a 4 star hotel. You couldn't pay me to stay here. A one star at best. The first room they put me in reeked of cigarette smoke and was dirty. I had to change rooms. Still dirty. Smelled slightly better but the hallways and lobby all smelled of cigarettes and marijuana and were dirty. Never again.
Excellent hotel. Management and staff most accommodating and pleasant. The price was reasonable and the service exceptional.I recommend this hotel. I have enjoyed my stay. The location is good. Plenty of places to eat and public transportation is very close.
Unfortunately, my stay at the Gowanus Inn has left me with a negative in my bank account. The first day I check in expecting a King Size bed but instead I received a double bed. The room that was given to me at first was being occupied by someone else. So, the receptionist gave me another room with double twin size beds dirty floors and wholes in the sheets. I didn’t mind at that time because I just wanted to relax. Then after my check out date my debit card was missing a total of $250.00. I called my bank they explain to me the hotel charged me and extra $250.00 dollars. I spoke to the receptionist at the Gowanus Inn and Yard, she said I was charged a smoking fee of $25.00 dollars, I ask to speak to the manager, then he said the hotel charge me $250.00 in smoking fees. I explain to him I’m a non-smoker and what proof they have of me smoking. He explains the fire alarm was not in tat. I said that’s the hotels problem not mines. What bothers me the most is I actually gave good ratings one day after my check out date because of location. I was even looking to come back and tell my friends, but know I’m fighting to get my money back. I need every penny, I’m out of work and was trying to enjoy a couple of days by treating myself, but it just became another disaster after the next.…
