decent hotel, stayed here because i stayed at the 1 hotel in Miami. they are dog friendly which was a plus for me. centrally located in Brooklyn. the rooms are a little thing, benji (my dog) barked from time to time because of the noise.
I had a wonderful booking time over the phone with ERIKA she was exceptional listener and person!! she tried the best to accommodate my request at the last minutes and made me feel very comfortable. thank you so much Erika. i would highly recommend to everyone her services.
I called the hotel (347-696-2500) on 2/10/2021 in the morning and waited several minutes for the operator to pick-up. I asked to be connected with the concierge because I had questions on where to eat with the hotel restaurant closed because of Covid. The concierge did not answer and the voicemail was full – cutting me off. I called the hotel back and after 10 minutes of waiting for someone to answer the phone I was disconnected; so I sent an email to the hotel asking for the concierge to email me with a time that we can talk on the phone. The concierge emailed me a few hours later with a phone number (347-696-2556). I called and was able to leave a message. My call was not returned that day or the next. When I tried to access my reservation on the Hotel 1 website, it repeatedly said “Oops. We cannot access your reservation at this time, please try again in a few moments.” I cancelled my upcoming two night reservation by phone.…
Timothy M. is amazing! If I could give him more than 100 stars I would! I lost something important in the room which made me anxious and he worked with me in a calm way to ensure that we will find the item. He also personally went to FedEx to ship it for me!! What more could I ask for? Thank you again Tim and I will always remember this
The hotel is beautiful and the views are stunning. I had a lovely view of the bridge and downtown Manhattan and watching the view change as the sun rose and set was a treat. Pretty much everything except the grab-and-go cafe is closed at the hotel and there are no bellmen to help with luggage. The immediate area is pretty closed down too but walk a few blocks and you can still find some restaurants open and some shopping. In the room, while the moss planter in the middle of the room is cute, this space would be better used as additional deck space in the bathroom. I also don’t like stacking my clothes behind one another as the closet rail runs front to back instead of side to side. I found the staff to be very ambivalent and never really felt welcome, it was clear they were just there to type on the computer and run people’s credit cards. One of the doormen also was quite rude to me when I asked to get my luggage they were storing for me, as if he didn’t want to be inconvenienced to do his job. Overall I don’t regret staying here, but I probably won’t return, and I now hesitate to try any other 1 Hotels if it means I’d have the same staff attitude issues.…
