Just far enough out from Fairbanks to feel you are in the wilderness, but close enough to reach any amenities you might like (restaurants, stores, etc.) Very well maintained, homey and beautifully decorated lodge settings. Rooms are large and well equipped. The cottages and cabins are also excellent, providing good facilities. Great views of the valley below, and the Alaskan...

We stayed for three nights at this spectacular lodge. It's a work of art - a museum in itself and really fun to explore. The views... wow... this is the perfect location to see the Northern Lights and Debbie gave us all the best tips and tricks to maximize our chances. Debbie was an amazing resource - she knew all...

Great location. My husband wanted to see the Northern lights for a long time. A Taste of Alaska offered a comfortable, convenient location to view the lights. Our room was located downstairs and very close to the viewing area. While I researched other locations, the competition advertised and offered to notify their guests when the aurora was showing. Kory did...

Get out of Fairbanks and typically city life and enjoy the true feeling of Alaska with the taste of Alaska. Our van got stuck in the snow and the hotel hosts pulled us out to make our stay even more warming.

We LOVED this place!!! We stayed in the main lodge. The rooms are so cozy and decorated so nicely. Breakfast was served on the second floor of the main lodge, so it was easy to get to. There were large windows in the breakfast area with amazing views. We stayed in March and saw the aurora borealis both nights we...

A Taste of Alaska is about a 15-20 minute drive from Fairbanks, so it offers great nighttime viewing of the Aurora Borealis, and wonderful views across a snow filled meadow and vast plains all the way to the Alaska Range. We were even able to see Mt Denali in the distance at sunset. The lodge consists of several separate cabins...

Of course seeing the Aurora is not guaranteed, but if they are visible, this is a wonderful place to view them. What is guaranteed is amazing hospitality, good food, and a comfortable room in a homey lodge. Rent a car as this place is out of town, the better to see the Aurora. Use your car to visit fun Alaska...

We just returned from an amazing stay at A Taste of Alaska Lodge! The location is perfect for those who want to be out in nature and have good Aurora viewing. It is far enough outside of the city, but only a 20 minute drive into Fairbanks for dining, shopping, sightseeing, etc. The lodge was very easy to find. (We...

I last visited 'A Taste of Alaska Lodge' with my wife in November of 2015, and we were so pleased that we returned in March of 2017 for a repeat visit. We have been on luxury cruises, vacationed in various cities around the world, and have been the fortunate recipients of some top notch service in our travels. We agreed...

We were a family of three who went to Fairbanks to see the Northern Lights. We were lucky enough to see them our first night, but the clouds came in and we were unable to see them our last two nights. But, it didn't matter, because we were at the sweetest lodge. Kory and his family make you feel so...
