This lodge is a truly great way to see Gates of the Arctic National Park. The owners are delightful, friendly, and intelligent. The premises are clean. There is wifi availability. The broad range of activities is totally suitable to the park. They are truly concerned about their guests. The level of attention is superb. Patricia is a truly marvelous chef and... More

First class experience and adventure is what these folks offer. Amazing Experience. This is big adventure. From Fairbanks you could take a flight with Flyinfishing.com or SkydanceAviation.com out of Anchorage. You could also drive to Coldfoot and get an Air Taxi. Nevertheless Pat and John got you covered. They will line you out on the best options

Despite reading reviews and the website and lots of emails with John, we weren't sure what to expect. But from the moment we met Dirk of Coyote Air in Fairbanks (an extremely experienced third-generation pilot/mechanic), we knew we were in good hands and Dirk was an excellent guide on the way up in his fantastic DeHavilland Beaver plane. The Gaedekes... More

Our time at Iniakuk Lodge, so wonderfully hosted by John and Tom, has left us with a collection of magical memories that will last us for the rest of our lives. It is an incredible experience. In fact, if you're as lucky as we were and get the opportunity to visit and share the experience, you'll need some new superlatives... More

A luxury experience in a remote, spectacular setting. The accommodations are very comfortable, the food delicious and the owners very attentive. I have always been interested in photographing sunsets and John took me to a beaver lake to photograph sunset at midnight! Unforgettable! Our stay was special in every way.

How can I really explain the rare opportunity my husband and I had to experience this remote 'above the Arctic Circle' wilderness lodge and the very talented people who run it! Yes, it was quite expensive - but of course when you are in the remote reaches of Alaska, how much would you be willing to pay for a private... More

Not many people have the luxury of visiting this Lodge run by Pat and John Gaedeke but those that do, experience a truly unique experience. First the remoteness and beauty are breathtaking. Your trip is fully customized ! We started out at the Caribou Cabin and it is truly an experience but you are well taken care of. But when... More

Luxury in the Far North sums it up! Our time at the Arrigetch Cabin and the Iniakuk Lodge was inspiring and rewarding on many levels. We had just the right combination of adventure on the river/hiking near the cabin combined with a stay at the lodge to round out the trip. Late summer in Alaska is beautiful - changing colors,... Wow, what an Alaskan experience north of the Arctic Circle. It exceeded our expectations. We visited all 3 locations - Iniakuk Lodge, Caribou Cabin and Arrigetch-Alatna River Cabin. We were glad we had the chance to visit all 3. Pat Gaedeke's personalized email communications in helping to plan the trip and leading right up to our arrival were perfect! Pat's... More

This was our second visit to Iniakuk Lake Wilderness Lodge and our best holiday ever. Our first visit was in the summer of 2008 when we stayed in the Main Lodge and the Caribou Cabin with our three children aged 5-11. That was such a wonderful once in a lifetime experience that we decided to make it twice in a... More

“There aren't a lot of rooms... the cabin is pretty intimate. The views from all of the rooms are beautiful. The only real difference is proximity to the wood stove or the propane heater. Other than that, they're all the same. The beds are comfortable, and there are plenty of options as far as blankets and comforters for warmth at night.”
