From the minute we arrived, we felt as if we were staying with old friends for the weekend. Ande and Paul were the perfect hosts. Their place was charming, located a short walk from downtown Fredericksburg. Our room(Annies room) was small but adequate, very clean, with an extremely comfortable queen bed. And did I mention the breakfast. Absolutely delicious. We...

We were recommended to The Schooler House by a friend, and enjoyed every minute of our stay. The house is beautifully appointed and charming; the bedrooms are spacious with lovely bathrooms, and are as quiet as can be; and the breakfast abundant and delicious, as good as you would get at a five-star restaurant. The owner, Andi Gabler, has thought...

This B'n'B is simply delightful in every respect. As there are only two guests rooms, visitors are pampered and their every need is taken care of...most of which is done in advance of your even setting foot on the property. This beautiful house (and small lovely garden) is conveniently located in downtown Fredericksburg, VA; therefore, it is within easy walking...

We really enjoyed our anniversary stay at this Bed & Breakfast. We can never remember sleeping better anywhere! Not sure if it was the bed, the room, the tranquile atmosphere of the house or the great hospitality. Andi is a fantastic host. The food was fabulous. Her attention to details is awesome. Of course, the most amazing thing about this...

We had the pleasure of staying at The Schooler House for our Anniversary getaway. I wanted to surprise my husband with a night away to celebrate our special day. We had never stayed at a B&B and I thought A B&B would be a great thing to do for a one night away retreat. All our local B&Bs were booked,...

This was now our fourth visit to this WONDERFUL B&B, and it again did not fail to exceed out expectations! We have stayed at many B&B's throughout the years, but Andi and her husband Paul are simply the most congenial, helpful, warm and welcoming hosts we have ever had the pleasure to get to know! The "pups" are great little...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Built in 1891 for Mary Schooler, The Schooler House provides guests with an opportunity to live like a Victorian. The home is a true B&B, with 2 rooms, each containing a queen-sized bed, twin sofa bed, bath en suite, gas fireplace, tv, spa robes, and period antiques. The Parlor is a wonderful spot to enjoy the Victorian furniture and pieces, including young ladies autograph books, written in a style and manner from the past.A full breakfast is prepared and served around a Sheridan 3 piece dining room table. The dishes and silver are all over 100 years old, as are many of the serving pieces. In the Winter, the fireplace keeps our guests cozy. The front porch is a great place to watch the town go by. The Trolley and Carriage Tours stop in front of The Schooler House while showing The Rising Sun Tavern, directly across the street. The gardens are full of perennials, carefully selected for their Victorian feel and look. The 1900 corregated metal garage is converted into a lovely garden room for afternoon naps, reading, wine sipping, and just listening to the waterfall in the adjacent pond. For a true Victorian experience where service is our goal, The Schooler House, consistently rated 5 Stars, is the place for your Fredericksburg experience. ... more   less
