Rooms were nice, people friendly, location great. Bed was lumpy, room drafty and noisy from traffic, and toilet the loudest ever. Breakfast was fine, not fabulous. Great location, accommodating staff.

We went for a quick stay in Savannah with one other couple and chose the Planters Inn based on Trip Advisor reviews. We were so happy we did so. The front desk staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful. They made dinner reservations for us at the Old Pink House Restaurant, which happens to be directly next door....

From check-in to check-out our stay was wonderful! We had mentioned at booking that we were in Savannah for our 14th Anniversary. When we got to the room, there was champagne and a hand-written congratulations note! There was a bell hop (not sure of his name) that was so fun. My husband is a cookie monster and the bell hop...

The location of the Planter's Inn is great, in between the riverfront and historical district, easy walking to anywhere. The staff was extremely helpful and gracious. This is not your typical Hilton or Marriot as far ammenties but ammenties are not why we chose the Planter's Inn. Social time in the evening is nothing fancy but it's a great way...

We can't say enough about the wonderful service and amenities at Planters Inn. The staff was helpful, gracious and very friendly from the front desk to the bellboys and the conceierge . The location was perfect. The room was great, even white robes after showering and the breakfasts were very good - the smell of fresh baked cookies when we...

From the moment we arrived, Planters Inn staff could not have been more friendly or helpful, especially the bell hops who went out of their way to greet us each time we came in and make sure all was going well. This made the experience and was a perfect introduction to Savannah! The location is convenient and easy to find....

Our recent stay in Savannah was made more than memorable by the staff at The Planters Inn. The location was perfect for strolling the squares and walking to major points of interest. The Square is very quiet at night- a real plus in any city! The daily social hour in the lobby was a nicety too good to pass up....

Basically, this review will say that my experience at this hotel was pretty terrible, but that the customer follow-up redeemed it. And, also, some of the responsibility comes back on me -- as it does to most any traveler. My spouse and I didn't test out the queen bed until we turned it down to sleep, and then discovered it...

Five star star stay. Loved the people and the place. It was close to everything, but quiet. I loved the great Southern breakfast, the wine and cheese each evening and the delicious warm cookies each night. One night the cookies weren't ready when I was and they brought them to my room, still warm from the oven. I highly recommend...

We stayed at the Inn for our 25th wedding anniversary trip. The location was terrific for shopping, touring, and dining. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast room could be a bit larger to serve crowds, but a variety of breakfast foods were offered. We will stay there again.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
To sleep in the epicenter of the city's beautiful historic district, book some time here, on Reynolds Square. The Planters Inn offers elegant rooms, great service, and a jovial wine and cheese reception where people linger each afternoon. For a view, ask about one of the rooms overlooking Reynolds Square Park. Better yet, step outside the inn and get lost among the azaleas and architecture. Just make it back for your dose of wine and cheese. ... more   less
