Had a wonderful stay. Room was clean staff was friendly. Quite and I would stay here again. Right next door to hospital. Close to food. And shopping. Ask for a extra pillow and the owner brought it made sure she did not need anything else.
Not sure if this hotel is changing from a Days Inn to a Red Roof Inn, but this is definitely on the low end. The room was fairly clean. Thankfully, we didn't need to use the fridge in the room. Room has hard floors, and is reminiscent of an old motor lodge or interstate side motel. The decor is definitely dated and it looks like the place is in need of a renovation. Looks to be some type of work (renovation or construction) going on. Red Roof Inn has been my "last minute stop" go to for when my wife and I are traveling, and I don't consider this location up to that "standard". It is ok for a place to sleep when traveling, but definitely not a destination if you are visiting Savannah!
Affordable and comfortable hotel. located near many restaurants and shopping places. Staff was friendly. nothing special perfect for our purpose. beautiful oak trees on the property. The mall was just a mile away too.
I want to begin by saying this was a great place to spend our day. My father had to have an out-patient procedure at St. Joseph's hospital and because of the restrictions due to COVID-19, my mother and I were not able to stay at the hospital with him. After we dropped him off, we drove around the corner and stopped here to see if we could rent a room to spend the next few hours (it ended up being 9 hours). The owner/manager was gracious enough to rent us a room immediately (we literally checked in at 8:30 AM). We were not cramped up in a vehicle, we didn't have to spend 9 hours at the local Walmart, we had a place to rest. Please know, this wasn't a "free" stay, and we didn't expect it to be, but it was nice of them to allow us to do that while we waited on our loved one.
Perhaps things are better now. Who knows. However, this was the worst Days Inn experience we've ever had. Our family was returning to Savannah after being away for a year and needed a place to stay a few nights while our renters were still in our house. We decided to stay here since it's close to the house and out of town family had stayed here in the past. Wish we'd paid a little more for a clean place. Not only were the floors sticky, stained and smelly, but customer serviced was horrendous. At breakfast the same woman who was running the front desk was somehow supposed to prepare breakfast. The coffee and most food ran out at the busiest time of morning. There was no milk to have with cereal, and the person who appeared to be the manager had nothing to say. No appologies. I couldn't even get extra packets of coffee to make a cup in our room! Other clientele looked near homeless. Needless to say we left a day early even though we prepaid. Just wanted to get out of there.…
