Let me preface this review by saying that we have not actually stayed at The Confederate House in Savannah, but I am writing the review based on a phone conversation with the owner/manager, Colleen Williams. That being said, I had booked a 3-night stay back...More

Just be prepared. It is a weird experience staying there, so if you are into weirdly odd experiences, you will be good. We were recently there and she told us she has a FBI grade audio and video surveillance system throughout the property, purportedly to monitor the Terrible Neighbors, who she REALLY has it in for. After 2 days of hearing about her rage against these neighbors and her plans for revenge, the only alleged offenses we could gather these neighbors were guilty of were (1) cutting through her side yard once to hop over her fence and (2) being african american. God bless those poor souls, because the wrath of Colleen seems to know no limits. Look, the place is cheap comparably to surrounding places. The bed was super comfy and the bathroom was huge. The food was good, minus the seriously bizarre nonstop monologue that a psychologist would have a field day analyzing. It's close to fun stuff. But definitely a bit of a strange experience.
