i love the retro look of this hotel, it is bright and fun, like old school USA, it is a great location too, nice and close to the town centre, easy access to tourist points and nice to find your way around

This place reminded me of motels that we stayed in on family trips when I was growing up. The beds were comfortable and the shower had good water pressure. The room (two doubles) was a little tight with not a whole lot of room to maneuver. It was ok for two people but would have been really uncomfortable with more....

I liked this place. I did not find any faults with it at all. It was nice, clean, nice room, everything worked, staff nice and friendly. Just at the border of historic district but priced was much less than you would pay inside historic district. In that motel you are just a 5 min walk away from historic district and...

Easy to get to all of your Savannah destinations without a car (or with if that's how you roll). Rooms and motel have a fun, retro look. Staff was pleasant, and the room was clean. I stayed with a friend, and it was easy to share the room with it's two double beds. Price is very reasonable. I'd stay there...

This hotel is more like a cheap motel..... very unhappy with how filthy, and dirty the place was kept. I do not recommend it... They didn't clean my room for two days, I had to complain and they gave me such an attitude... It is a big NO!!!

Came to Savannah for a weekend trip with friends. The Thunderbird Inn was located in the perfect area - walking distance to almost everything you would want to walk to. It may not be the most updated or cleanest hotel, but it's perfectly fine to sleep in. The breakfast was worth it, however, I wish they had plastic cups so...

The Thunderbird Inn is based on the 60's and they do a great job at achieving that. Check in was quick and painless and accompanied with fresh popcorn. Although parking was tight, real estate for parking is always at a premium anywhere in Savannah. The staff was always inviting and welcoming. Since my normal sleep schedule had me getting up at...

This property is quite fun. The retro aspect was a nice change of pace. My mom was just in heaven. The staff was very good assisting us in any way possible. I don't eat moon pies or drink RC Cola but the concept is cute. Room was clean and neat. The biggest challenge is the parking lot. The spaces are...

This is the least expensive hotel in the historic district, but my stay here cost me over $12,000.00. My engagement, wedding and anniversary rings were stolen from my locked room. The police were contacted and a report made. I emailed the manager, begging for help, asking that the rings be returned anonymously. I even offered to pay a reward. I...

The motel is in a pretty good location for getting to the historical areas of the city and was almost half the price of anything else for the nights we were there and within walking distance to where we wanted to go. When we first arrived we thought the area was very sketchy with bus station right across the street...
