Love this spot! There's a cool bar with a great happy hour, location is ideal & the staff is super accommodating. Matt at the front desk made sure my stay was great. This is a step above your typical IHG hotel.

My family and I stayed for two days during Veterans day. The hotel was very busy upon check-in but the staff member was efficient and attended to the guests quickly. The parking attendants were pleasant and helpful. The room itself was very spacious and my boys slept on the sofa bed which was comfortable. The Master room was modern and... More

Decided to take a last minute trip to Savannah not realizing it was a holiday weekend in the US. Our usual hotel was booked so we decided to try the Indigo. The staff were super friendly, rooms were new....a bit on the small side but overall fine once you got over the blinding mirror light & sink in the room.... More

We visited Savannah recently and had the pleasure of staying at this gem of a hotel. Friendly, helpful staff, comfortable room, and fantastic location. We were able to enjoy all of the amenities along the river and in the historic district. All within walking distance. Will definitely return!

My daughter and I stayed at the Hotel Indigo for her visit to SCAD. They gave us an early check in which was great considering we had luggage and our rental to valet park. They were helpful and friendly. The room was very comfortable with a great view of the river. My daughter was impressed with the upscale decor of... More

For all the historic feel that downtown Savannah has, Hotel Indigo decided to go for a very modern interior. Check in was great. We arrived very early on the day of a wedding and got a room around 11am allowing us to refresh and take a nap. The rooms are clean, comfortable and modern and the lower floor is beautifully... This location was perfect for us. My husband and I enjoyed a great weekend in Savannah staying at the Hotel Indigo. Everything you want to do is right outside the door. We never had to drive/Uber anywhere! We found ourselves at the hotel bar every night! Great cocktails, even better prices and ambiance. Did I mention they are DOG FRIENDLY... More

We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Indigo. We had a minor reservation problem and Matt at the front desk handled it expertly. He was very kind and professional. Later we encountered Jason in the Five Oaks bar. He provided really helpful tips that made our tours and stays in Savannah even better. For breakfast, Jamilla and Covartis took very... More

Wonderful new hotel in old historical Savannah. The design is eclectic yet comfortable. The staff were all very gracious and accomodating to our every need. The hotel has easy access to the river and other historical sites as well as many great restaurants and small quaint shops. Whenever I'm Savannah - I would stay here!

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Like our Spanish-moss-draped city herself, Hotel Indigo® Savannah Historic District is the perfect mix of old and new. Our building—known to locals as the "Grand Lady on the Bay" due to her sweeping size—was once 19th-century mega-merchant Simon Guckenheimer's dry goods storage house and shop, which was filled with everything the South made best, from tobacco to canned peaches. The 1940s and '50s brought a grocery store with the city's first true coffeehouse. Now, the Grand Lady stands as a charming boutique hotel with modern style in a vibrant Ellis Square setting that reflects the essence of Savannah's renowned historic district. After a delicious breakfast or cocktail at our lobby bar, immerse yourself in our neighborhood's rich culture at City Market, located right next door. Then embark on one of the many fascinating tours Savannah has to offer; at least five of the city's iconic squares are located within roughly five blocks of our front door. Learn about the city's storied past before making your way down original cobblestone paths to famous River Street, where you can watch ships enter and exit the harbor while savoring Southern comfort food in restaurants that were once historic warehouses. ... more   less
