We travel a lot, and stop in different places, most often average or at least predictable. This was a nice surprise! Quality meats cooked with care, and fresh cut fries! That's always a treat. Great beer selection, beautiful old house, and reasonable prices. Service was prompt, and the waitress was extremely knowledgeable about the house and menu, taking time to... More

Thanks to Gerrie for the beginning of this review. We stayed in the JV Thompson room which was supposed to be in the 'modern wing'. It was anything but modern. Our room was small and dark. A jacuzzi took up over half the room. The bathroom was tiny and we found the bed and pillows uncomfortable. The linens were old... More

They didn't appear very busy but the wait to revive our food was long. The server apologized numerous times and it appeared staff was spread too thin to accommodate the dining guests. The food was good but their prices are a little above average. If your going to charge a little more I feel your service should reflect that and... More

There aren't many choices if you are on your way to Fallingwater. Stone House is both an inn and a restaurant. They also have a general store and a smokehouse for BBQ. Our room was clean and simple. WiFi and cell phone reception are weak and spotty. Road noise was above average, so ask for a room in the back.

We stayed in the JV Thompson room which was supposed to be in the 'modern wing'. It was anything but modern. Our room was small and dark. A jacuzzi took up over half the room. The bathroom was tiny. I will say the bed was quite comfortable, but I only had about 12 inches to the wall. We were going... More

I don't know how you find a chef who prepares so many different types of cuisine with such perfected skill, but Stonehouse has managed to find a culinary genius! We were in foodie heaven after stopping on our way home from a long trip. All of the food we had was beyond delicious and we all agreed we could not... More

The Stone House Inn was a very interesting facility. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The food at the tavern was awesome with wide variety of choices. There was a motorcycle rally for BBQ Bike night while we were there, only issue was noisy when leaving about 10 PM or so. Drawbacks are that the tavern does not open until... More

Stopped on the way to visit Falling Water and we were not disappointed. The food was very tasty and the price was excellent. The menu is meat heavy but vegetarians can fine a nice meal as well. If I get back this way then I am going to try the gator ribs.

When booking our room at the Stone House Inn we were excited by the photos showing its setting and amenities... what a surprise to find it sits almost on top of the BUSY highway, not at all in the woods. The rooms may be Victorian but we asked for a quiet room after noting the road noise so were placed... More

The rooms are very old and out dated, I understand that it is an old B&B , but you can update beds, linens and bed spreads. Shower heads and faucets. The room was clean, but the photos are deceiving. The bar downstairs is excellent and the food looked great. Rooms on the road are loud all night long. I was... More
