Loved your review...Thank you! We have a special place in our hearts for the Harley Riders- they've come from as far away as Paris (bikes shipped ahead of time to Portland and we were the first stop!) and there is NO debating that you are a fun and gracious group as a whole. So, that said, we look forward to...

Really a nice, quaint place, good value for the price, but ask for a room on the 2nd floor facing east towards the Astoria-Megler bridge. That is the best. Some rooms have better beds - probably the Queen bed rooms get the least "mileage." Great breakfast, all the staff is very friendly and very accommodating. Thanks!

This facility was a little dated, but well worth the money. The setting was quiet and the room was clean, nicely furnished, and comfortable. Good continental breakfast including local smoked salmon. The view of the river and marina was fantastic.

Thank you for the gracious and helpful review! The new ownership group has been managing the hotel for just over a year now and has been working hard on making improvements and updates from day one. We recently completed two beautiful model rooms, four theme rooms (all with a nod to Astoria's working waterfront) as well as an update to...

A full remodel, ad a nice place to eat. Add a nice restaurant overlooking the harbor. The outside looks rundown 1960ish. Rooms need a new heat and air conditioning system. If your going to give free food for breakfast make it good.

Nice Inn on the water; great value; friendly staff; wonderful free breakfasts. Get a room on the water - they have plenty and the cost is very reasonable. We were very pleased with this hotel and would recommend it.

Over charged my card after telling me that $7 would be charged to ship a left behind item. Manager never contacted me after several attempts at a refund. I do not recommend this business to anyone as they obviously don't care about their guests.

Nice little hotel. The room itself was large enough, though the decor was nothing spectacular, but all in all, it was comfortable. What really made this a great place was being able to sit on the balcony and watch the happenings on the marina. I would overlook a lot for that view. Be forewarned though smokers. You cannot smoke on...

All rooms have a view of the harbor, the breakfast buffet includes smoked salmon, good free loan DVD library, kind and attentive staff, and the property is right on the trolley line and, better yet, the river walk to the center of town (15 minutes).

Staff was friendly, location was good and the breakfast was above average. Other than that, minimal outlets for the smartphones of today. Lacked enough towels and had to go ask for an extra blanket. The ^extra^ was nicer than the one in room. Mold in the shower and dirty carpets were a turn off. But beds/linens were clean. View was...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Originally opened as the Red Lion – Thunderbird Motor Inn and later simply as the Red Lion, the Astoria Riverwalk Inn was the town’s first waterfront hotel, established in the late 1960s. The Port of Astoria owns the facility, and in September 2015 contracted with new local ownership to assume and improve the Riverwalk Inn operations. The new ownership group is comprised of seasoned business management professionals with significant experience in commercial property development and hospitality, including the development and initial launch of the award-winning Hotel Elliott in downtown Astoria. With a new operating team in place since September 2015, literally everything is new at the Astoria Riverwalk Inn. From the luxurious Egyptian cotton sheets, redesigned dining area and lobby adorned with local, original artwork; the addition of a continental breakfast; extensive landscaping and general updates throughout (including lots of fresh paint!), guests will gain a sense of renewed care and attention to detail. Other complimentary amenities include a business center just off the lobby, upgraded high-speed Wi-Fi, a DVD library and “Beach Cruiser” bikes for exploring Astoria’s acclaimed four-mile long Riverwalk. We think you’ll find changes to the Astoria Riverwalk Inn create an inviting atmosphere for a restful stay on the waterfront. We hope to see you soon! ... more   less
