This experience was a nightmare from start to finish. The supposedly disabled accessible room I had booked — after discussing my needs with the concierge — turned out to be largely non-accessible. There was absolutely nowhere comfortable to sit –a tiny, saggy, super-low sofa that was like sitting on a cushion on the floor, and backless bar stools, hardly the kind of furnishings people need in this era of working remotely. The bedroom had a floppy, sliding shag rug and a very low bed with an even lower platform around it — basically an Olympic event for the disabled. I hoped to reach a representative for assistance in changing the room/property to something more accessible and comfortable, but nobody was available. Then, the power went out and we were trapped in the dark. Calls and texts to figure out what was going, or if there was a working elevator, went unanswered. I booked a nearby hotel, and when I finally reached a Sonder rep by phone, I was assured that my reservation would be canceled and fully refunded. More than a week and several calls later, I am still fighting with these idiots. The buildings look trendy and the design is modern, but the basics are lacking and the service is abysmal. There's a reason hotels are still around: There's always someone at the front desk to help.

I cannot recommend this property enough. My husband and I just booked the two bedroom/two bathroom apartment for a week and I couldn't believe how much more affordable it was than a hotel or airbnbs we looked at. Touchless check-in was a breeze. The location on Race St was perfectly located and an easy walk to all of the Old City landmarks. The views from our fourth floor apartment were fantastic and we really enjoyed watching the sunset through those floor-to-ceiling windows. But my favorite part of the apartment was the soaking tub (which is why we booked the 2 bedroom). A long soak in that deep tub was the perfect way to end a long day of sightseeing. Only negatives are there was a fair bit of street noise in the early evening, but nothing too disruptive or anything earplugs couldn't block when it was time for bed. Some of the furniture is starting to look worn, particularly the tables, but everything was super clean. We will definitely be looking for other Sonder properties for our future travels.

The mint is a very modern and upscale building on the heart of Old City, Philadelphia. It’s design, aesthetic, and location make it a top pick for leisure or long term stay. The way each room is perfectly furnished really gives you the luxury experience and it’s to die for.
