We stayed at Motel 6 in Mammoth this summer and it was a very affordable, no frills hotel. Amenities are simple, but the hotel was clean and pretty quiet at night. It is right on the main road into town and close to lots of restaurants, stores, gas stations, etc. We liked it because it allows us to travel with...

Started morning drive from Mission Viejo south OC as a leisurely drive to get to Lake Tahoe the following day. Skip Bishop and go to Mammoth Lakes. Hotel at entrance to Mammoth Lakes and is about 4.5 hour drive from Mission Viejo area. Set back from the road enough to avoid traffic sounds and feel a little secluded. Checked in...

We stay at Motel 6's a lot because they are pet friendly. This one was better than average. The girl at the front desk was extremely friendly and helpful. The place got very crowded, even during the week, so I'd reserve a room at least the day before. **Take Note**- there is a sign at the front desk warning you...

Stayed here enroute from Yosemite to Palm Springs. Large motel but welcomed by friendly front desk staff - helped me with Laundry change. Very quiet and peaceful night given its size. Pool was out of use. Fast wifi but $2.99 for the night. Motel is set back from the road but be careful not to miss the entrance drive. Room...

We didn't expect much from a Motel 6...no shampoo, no breakfast... But the place was clean, the pool was nice and the price was right. The place is a bit of a maze. I always seemed to get turned around on the hike from the parking spots I found to my hotel room. The location was good otherwise.

I stayed there twice this past snowboard season. Motel 6 is a clean motel that is right next to Mammoth Mountain. Although the bedding and linen is thin, it is clean. Location is key. It's close to everything and centrally located in Mammoth. The heat works in the winter and it's open for late check-in. Plus the price is typically...

Check in was smooth. The girl was friendly and knowledgable of the area. We came in late and parking was a bit of an issue. We had aways to walk to our room from the only parking spot we could find. Rooms are small. Beds too. Average mattress for a motel. Soap in the bathroom, but no shampoo. Shower head...

We were just passing through Mammoth Lakes (travelling to Yosemite the next day), and wanted a cheap motel. After checking around, this was obviously the best bang for your buck! The receptionist gave us a book of coupons and recommended a restaurant that we ate at (John's Pizza - nice family joint, fairly decent pricing). Pros: clean room, comfy bed,...

Its is an older property compared to some of the other lodgings available in Mammoth. However for a brief stay without any amenities this is reasonably good value over night accommodation. It is CA-203 and the trolley stop is located above and below the property. There are shops and a few restaurants located in walking distance across Motel 6. Property...
