I stayed at the Austria Hof for 10 days in July 2008. Unfortunately, this place was marginal. When booking I was told that they reserved one of the best rooms for me. If this is the best of the rooms I can’t imagine what the lesser rooms are like. The bed seemed to slope downhill! The shower drain was not...

If you’re traveling on business be aware. The Austria Hof has some arrangement for a unit at the nearby Westin Monache via the owner of the condo. The problem is if you book the room thru Austria Hof you get absolutely no privileges at the Westin. The room I had (427) was nice enough but there are some problems. 1:...

The reviewer is correct that this unit is not part of the Westin. However all units at the Westin are individually owned and each owner can choose to rent through the Westin or go with another manegement company. The advantage is that the rate is anywhere from 50-100 per night less with us. The dis-advantage is that the Westin will...

The hotel is ok but the real problem is that there is no air what so ever in the room. Since there was neiter a fan or AC it was not possible to get air during the night. There was a balcony door but due to safety we did not want to have it open during the night. The restaurant...

First impressions of this hotel were being greeted by a rude receptionist (after initially being ignored) who then insisted on a $50 deposit for any incidentals to be charged to the room during our stay. The room had been prepaid prior to arrival. What the point of the $50 was for is still a mystery as the bar staff didn't...

We love staying here! When I mentioned to my teenage son, that we should take our yearly Mammoth ski trip, he begged for us to stay at the Austria Hof again. The location is extremely close to the lifts, the breakfast is a great way to start off a day of skiing, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the...

I had one of the best overall hotel experiences while staying at "the hof". It is right across the lot from Canyon Lodge, has ski lockers, a great continental breakfast, outdoor jacuzzi (with view of the slopes), comfortable beds, and an amazing housekeeper. One can hit the bar after skiing, and then enjoy Austrian fare at their restaurant. From check-in...

The owner of the hotel yelled at me and told me to "get my stuff and get the [--] out of here". DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!! Would give a zero if possible. Terrible hospitality. After a snowstorm, steps from the hotel were not shoveled at 10 am the next morning. I had to shovel the walk myself to...

Without a doubt, Austria Hof has the charm and comfort of a european hotel. It is a small hotel with all the amenities, including a great lounge and reataurant. The owner continually upgrades the rooms and the location for skiers is outstanding. We have been staying at Austria Hof for many years, both summer and winter and it is always...

Great location if you want to be walking distance to lifts, but too far to walk to village or town. Good continental breakfast in the AM with freash fruit being a nice touch in addition to cereal, muffins, bagels, hard boiled eggs and juice. Also very good dinners at the onsite restaurant. I agree with other reviews about staff not...

It's better to have a GPS to find the hotel, is not in the center of the town. The room was correct and the restaurant was very good and the waiter very friendly. What a pity for the breakfast, you have to take this in the hall or in your bedroom and it's better to be at first..
