I'm planning to go in early April, our first time skiing in Summer and first time in Mammoth. I wonder if I would need a boots? My kids and I won't survive without a boots if it's winter, I would like to know how much snow it will be in the village. Or there won't be any? This is only part of my trip, which I'm traveling from other country, so carrying boots is not a good idea. Thanks in advance,

Snow boots? Not so necessary in the village, but is helpful to have regular style boots and warm socks for certain! Or leather shoes with rubber soles minimally.
