Overall, it was OK and clean enough. It doesn't compare to a 5 star resort we just came from in Vegas, but it's functional. We came here to go to Bryce Canyon and stayed two nights in a regular room. The entire place was full and it was difficult to park if you came back late at night. Otherwise, I dont have anything bad to say for a lower end property. There are no high end properties in Cedar City that's worth it.

This is a classic single level older motel, still with 60's style furnishings. They're sure to change all that, though, since they just affiliated with Wyndham and re-branded as the Baymont. It's comfortable enough but somewhat auto noisy since it's on the main arterial through town. If the summer festivals are going on, you could easily walk to most venues. But you'd be paying a lot more than what it's worth. For now, if you desire to stay here, I'd call in my reservation. Inquire about in-room amenities. Microwaves and fridges are not standard. For now the breakfast is a dull grab and go bag. And the housekeepers are not up to snuff. One restaurant adjoins and others are nearby. But check for open hours and whether inside dining is allowable during Covid times.

Stayed here for 1 night in June. Sara, the young lady that helped me arrange the reservations, was even more pleasant in person than she was on the phone; which is saying something! We had 2 rooms, side by side, on the upper floor overlooking the pool. We loved this location. There is one older elevator to access the upper level but we preferred taking the stairs. The 7 of us slept quite comfortably between the 2 rooms. There is a nice amount of space in the rooms. The hotel is an older one but they've done a good job at keeping it up. All rooms are individually accessed from the outside; this is not a hotel with an inner hallway to access your rooms. Several rooms were "drive-up" access. The pool was nice but sure could have used some cleaning due to the pine trees that…

El Rey Inn was the perfect home base for a three-night stay for me and my pooch while we explored the natural surrounds - Zion, Parowan Gap, Brian Head Peak, hikes in Dixie Natl Forest, Cedar Breaks, Red Canyon, Bryce. Dog-friendly, double Queen room was clean, comfy, spacious and had all the appointments - super comfy bed, great water pressure, plenty of hot water, AC/heat, in room coffee, micro, fridge, TV. Perfect location in the center of town closet to the scenic highway. Friendly and welcoming service! Highly recommend!

This experience felt like a 2 1/2-3 star experience. It is an older hotel that has somewhat been kept up. Walls are thin, I could hear neighbors sneezing. Friendly front desk, the place seemed clean. The pool was open. Breakfast due to Covid-19 was a grab and go sack made available at the front desk in the morning. When trying to adjust the thermostat it came off in my husband’s hand, but he was able to put it back and did not disable it. He never was able to achieve lowering the temperature to what he wanted it at. For a night or two this place serves its purpose, it is a safe area so if you are a solo female traveler you can feel comfortable. If you were staying a week and can afford an upgrade there are plenty of newer chain motels in the area. This motel might be more budget…

My husband got sick while fishing because of the altitude. Called everywhere to reserve a hotel for 1 night and only this hotel responded at 5:00 AM in the morning. Excellent service, greatful for our female reseptionist, comfortable beds and pillows. Decided to come back for 2 more nights instead of going back to LA. Thanks really appreciated

The room was clean. The front desk person was nice and helpful. The breakfast in a bag was good. They packed an assortment of items in all food groups because of the COVID the breakfast was not available. I would visit again.

tiny rooms, thin walls, not nearly as cute as pictured - room was more like a prison cell. this is the second time I’ve made this mistake- spend the extra money on the best western instead, I wish I had.

I have been staying at El Rey Inn & Suites for about a decade on ski trips with my father (he's still skiing at 94!). The staff is always friendly and welcoming and the rooms clean. My parents also stay here in the summer during the Shakespeare Festival. The front desk staff is always welcome, friendly, and accomodating. The rooms have been updated with some upscale furnishings (such as granite countertops). We look forward to our stays here.
