My fiance and I visited NYC in mid-December and stayed at the Roosevelt Hotel in Midtown. The hotel lobby was absolutely exquisite and was decorated beautifully for Christmas. The hotel staff was very nice and welcoming. We stayed in a Cozy Queen room, and I knew from the title of it that it was going to be a little small....

Just spent a December weekend here with my wife. The Roosevelt's location is ideal for walking: close to Times Square, Broadway, Rockefeller Centre. The bar area is happy and comfy place. Elevator service was terrible; long lineups waiting for cars that seemed be be 'stuck' much of the time; they MUST do something about that. At a time when wi-fi...

I will say after reading a lot of the reviews, I was hesitant about my decision to stay here. I am happy to report that I had a wonderful experience. My mother and I travel to New York about once a year to shop and see a show. We chose this hotel for its location. You have access to everything...

I took a trip to NYC with my lady to see a broadway show. I booked at this hotel mainly because of location, just around the corner from Broadway (we walked home after the show). Unfortunately that was the best part of the entire experience! First, at check-in the line was 15 minutes long, no problem but considering only 4/6...

Manners cost nothing. My first opinion was at check-in. Extremely rude man checked us in, had a terrible attitude and left him to my sister to deal with in the end. One of our party was ill in Bed all day and they even refused to send her tea and toast in as it was the middle of the day....

Stayed recently at the Roosevelt Hotel in NY. Very nice folks, great lobby, but a very small room. I went to use the wifi and had to pay about $15 to connect my phone. I then pulled out my computer and tried to connect to the internet. To my surprise, I was asked to pay a second wifi charge. At...

Thank you for your comments and review. Yes guest rooms in NYC tend to be on the cozy side especially when compared to other major cities. Regaring wifi pricing, we regularly shop other mid-town hotels to ensure our wifi fees remain competitive. Thanks again for your valuable feedback.

I Spent thanks giving week here with my fiancé and the moment we walked up the stair case I knew this was going to be a very beautiful hotel. The lobby area is very old décor and very quaint. It was made more stunning with the Xmas tree up and Christmas decorations. The reception staff I found to be very...

This hotel was so disappointing. The lobby is beautiful, and that's where the good news ends. Every interaction with the staff felt like a battle, they were invariably rude and inattentive. We had issues with the radiator- it wouldn't turn off, our room was way too warm. We were told to turn on the air conditioner and open the window-...

Just returned from my 2nd stay at the Roosevelt. I cant understand all the negative reviews about room sizes. If you book a small room then that's what you get. I booked a deluxe king and it was a very big room 1203 with a huge double bed that was very comfortable. Bathroom was a decent size. My only complaint...

While the location is amazing, just steps from Grand Central, the hotel itself is way below average in terms of service. The hotel is extremely understaffed and overworked. When I checked in there were numerous people hauling bags up to their rooms because there was not enough bell staff available. The hallways are quite long, so I saw several guest...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
