Recently returned from a 4 night stay at this hotel and no complaints. When we arrived we were offered 2 rooms on 8th floor but as I had requested higher floor, away from road noise were told if we came back in an hour we could have 2rooms on the 16th. The receptionist, think her name was Sandra couldnt have been... More

We are staying for several days including this past weekend. The lifts were so busy that we had to go up from our floor to get down this morning. The lobby was like a zoo at times. The room was incredibly stuffy and I couldn't get the sash window to open. Noisy aircon, no tea and coffee making and a... More

We spent one night at the hotel. The room was outdated, The pillows had a bad smell. When we checked out the hotel offers a complementary bag storage. The staff was rude and "requested" a tip more than once, although they brought me the wrong bag. I had to go back at the storage area by myself and look for... More

Stayed there in September for a Family Reunion. Amazing entrance but that's about it. The rooms are old, the staff are unfriendly, the bar is WAY too expensive. They make you pay $15 a night for wifi... it's a great location but I could not in good faith recommend this hotel to anyone. It's a 3 star at best. If... More

Having visited NYC with my wife for 10 days we were happy with our stay at the Roosevelt, the room was very clean and was kept in good order during our stay, however three of things to watch out for; 1. On the 18th floor the hot water is not very good, the sad thing about this is the hotel... More

Myself, my husband and two adult children recently stayed 5 night in a superior 2 bed double room. I can say there is nothing superior about the rooms. The rooms are very tied and in desperate need of an upgrade. There was no tea/coffee making facility in the room so we had to go to either Starbucks to the left of... More

When my husband and I first entered the lobby of this "grand" old hotel, we were enchanted by its festive, lovely Christmas décor. The lobby is a sight to behold; one is inspired by the attention given to the preservation of early 20th century art and architecture. However, our room was truly subpar. Though it was a crisp November day,... More

Loved it! Will go back! Elegant and stylish without the two-pinkies-up price tag. Elevators were not efficient so here is a tip...if you wait for more than 3 UP cars, get on the next UP and then ride down. OR take the steps. Seemed understaffed at the front desk and the staff at check-in were a bit curt for my... More

Good location when you visit New York City, right in the centre of Manhattan, Grand Central Terminal across the road, 10 minutes walk to Times Square, Rockefeller Centre, Empire State Building, etc. But, the Hotel need to be renovated (e.g. Lifts, the rooms, etc.) to maintain the hotel standard

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
