Aesthetically, the lobby and entryway is beautiful. But I'm afraid that's about as good as it gets. My second stay here for an event being held at this hotel. I would not have returned otherwise. I highly recommend upgrading to at least the second price choice for your room. The lessor priced room which I stayed the first time is...

The Roosevelt Hotel for me is the ultimate place to stay when traveling to New York. Pictures and paintings of Theodore Roosevelt remind you of the 26th President of the United States who gave this hotel its name. Food is excellent, service even better, and the comfort of the guest rooms in unrivaled. Although I love New York, I'm not...

Managed to get checked in early which was great. We stayed in a cozy queen room. Good size. Enough for two people. Safe in the room which was great. Saw a TV show getting filmed in the lobby which was great and interesting. I didn't think all of the staff were the friendliest. The housekeeper was lovely, but I thought...

Quaint NY hotel with a 30's feel. Must have been grand in it's day. Now it is a very good value for a NY time Square area Hotel. Close to everything. Lots of great restaurants in walking distance. Still has a bit of old world charm left.

Yes, our charming hotel opened in 1924 and continues to charm with a delightful deco feel. We are so happy you found our location convenient and “close to everything”. We are looking forward to your next visit so we can offer you the same “very good value”.

Well after reading such varied reviews i was very jubious on how the hotel would be but me and my partner had no problems. The location was perfect, everything was walking distance. Our room on the 8th floor (819) was perfect size for the 2 of us. Everything worked fine too, the heating, the shower, the tv, the lifts. Yes...

This is a really beautiful but old hotel so expect it to be run down a bit. The rooms were smaller than expected but the bed was really comfortable and cozy. I loved how central this hotel was to everything a tourist needs to see in Manhattan.

Clean, beautiful exterior and interior. Room exceeded our expectations! Suite for 2 adults and 2 teens included 2 full baths which was a bonus. Excellent location to so much NYC has to offer. Only suggestion is better wifi connection...spotty at best in-room. Would definitely stay again and have already recommended to others.

First time staying at the Roosevelt. The lobby is beautiful, and the butlers who carry your luggage inside for you when you arrive were really nice too. So, through the night it was very hot, barely slept, second night, through the night, very hot, slept for a good 5 hours, third night, very hot, slept for a good 5 hours....

All is well that ends well, we wish we could have resolved this on day one. We apologize for any discomfort and so happy this was resolved to your satisfaction. We do hope to see you again in the future and we will skip the broken heater part of the story.

Sorry folks but we had a great time. Let's face it as a tourist to New York how much time do you actually spend in your hotel Room! We arrived on a Saturday afternoon with trepidation having read the reports... check in took less than 10 minutes from a very polite and informative lady. The lifts took seconds to arrive...

Thank you for your great point of view and your great response. The human condition leads us to only offer feedback leaning toward the negative, so your candid remarks are all the more resplendent. We are delighted to have you as an honored guest, and looking forward to your return.

I will keep this brief, yes the Hotel lobby and exterior is very nice, the room we stayed in was okay but the customer service was terrible, not the usual New York standard that I would expect. Looking at the reviews, it seems a very mixed bag, I would totally agree that this is a nice traditional New York hotel,...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
