We visited New York in the middle of February during a cold winter. We choose to stay at Hotel Metro to provide great access to the City, but we got much more, great hotel with friendly helpful staff.

Love, love, love this hotel. Staff are brilliant, can't do enough to help. Rooms are massive, clean, modern. Hotel is beautifully decorated. Location is fabulous. At the roof top bar you can see the empire state building as if it was right next to you. Everything is within walking distance, Macy's is on the door step.

The location is the real selling point for this hotel. It's located a street away from the Empire State building, a subway stop 2 minutes away, Broadway 3 minutes away, Times Sq 8 minutes away and 5th Avenue shopping/Rockefeller etc just a little further. The hotel was clean and tidy, staff were great, breakfast was basic but we ate out...

Stayed for 5 days at Hotel Metro. Fantastic location and excellent hotel. Rooms compact but extremely comfortable, Breakfast available each morning, nothing special but a good start. Reception staff not very friendly but maybe that's New York. Would definitely recommend and will stay again.

Perfect hotel for when staying in New York. Close to all the main attractions - we even walked to Central Park. Rooms are small but adequate. Complimentary breakfast was excellent. Staff were very helpful. Would stay at this hotel again.

Rooms are of average size and the beds are very comfortable. Rooms are very clean. En suite bathrooms are on the small side but are again very clean with quality toiletries. Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
