Stayed there with husband and 2 young children. It was a lovely hotel in walking distance to many NY attractions. Felt very safe walking around, lots of restaurants nearby. Rooms were great, highly recommended.

We just returned from a two night stay at the Lucerne Hotel and had a great experience. The neighborhood was safe and there were so many kid friendly dining options and so much to do within walking distance. The park and the Natural History Museum are about a 5-10 minute walk. The hotel was clean, the staff was friendly and...

Great location in West Manhattan with access to any NYC location rather easy to get to. Although an older building, you walk in an wonder if it really is an older building. All amenities necessary are offered as well. The quality and cleanliness of the rooms was exceptional and bathrooms very modern. The staff was very attentive, friendly, knowledgeable. It...

Located on Manhattan's West Side, at 79th Street and Amsterdam Avenue, the Lucerne is about a 10-minute bus ride, through Central Park, to the Metropolitan Museum of Art and an equally short ride to Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts. Although the décor is not quite my taste, being old-fashioned with lots of brown, my room was quiet and very...

The Lucerne Hotel is a very nice place to stay in West Manhattan. True it is older but still kept nice and clean with an old school charm. If you are looking for a view this may not be the place but other than that it makes up for it by being in a perfect location. Easy access to subway...

As we entered the hotel it's exterior gave us hope we found something special. Upon reaching the reception desk we knew that was not going to be the case. Greeted by dead flower arrangement and an indifferent clerk has not a great start. Once we reached our room we were disappointed with its size. Then the paper thin walls made...

In any other city, the Lucerne would be a run-of-the-mill hotel as it does not appear to have been updated in years, as it does not have a sexy and fun lobby bar and/or restaurant. As it is located on some pricey real-estate on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, though, it is fairly nice as it is a good...

My very new husband and I got married in Central Park on June 6th and stayed at this hotel for the nights coming up to and just after our wedding. We had a great experience here. They left a bottle of bubbly in our room for us and upgraded us for our last 3 nights to a large suite which...
