My Mum and I went for our first trip to NY and stayed at the Towers of the Waldorf Astoria, and had a lovely stay. We had an amazing corner room that had a view of the Empire State building. The staff were friendly and it was nice to have a separate entrance for those who stayed in the towers.

Everything from the service to the view to the furnishings in the suites was extraordinary. Hearing a Jazz piano player play Cole Porter's music on Cole Porter's piano in the lobby bar was an experience to remember forever. Concierge Vinmore Villiams could not have been more helpful and suggested some wonderful restaurants. The Waldorf Closes March 1st, to be remodeled...

My wife and I stayed at the NYC Waldorf Astoria for one night, on the next-to-last night before it closed for renovations on March 1, 2017. Wayne, the gentleman at the front desk who registered us for our stay was the epitome of excellent, courteous and professional customer service. His presence at the hotel reflects well on the registration department...

I came here on a spur of the moment deal, to handle some business. This was a great experience. Very classy, the staff was well mannered and the area is key. It was a great trip for a business man, very enclosed and professional. The interior was beautiful and i was handled with great care

I was here for business and pleasure, ended up with a bit more pleasure. I managed to get an upgrade to the Towers suite and my gosh, I was not disappointed. Gorgeous views of the city, I could not fault anything! Food, drinks service all was first class.

Nostalgic last trip to stay at the Old Lady. Spent 2 nights over the last weekend in one of their lovely suites. Service was excellent and the room was very large, with a full living room and bedroom. Sad to see this institution disappear.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
