I recently spent two nights here while passing through New York. I found it to be a handy location in 42nd St. a short walk from the Bus Station and convenient for the airport bus transfer. Further it is a 5 minute walk to the piers housing the Intrepid Carrier & river cruises. I enjoyed the cruise around Manhattan and... More

This was the cheapest hotel that I could find in NY during the week that the President was in town. It was $300/night. Great location to Javits. There is also a nice deli/ restaurant right out the door. The people are extremely nice, but the rooms are old. Old furniture, old bedspreads, and the worst part is that the pillows... More

Great location - close to subway, buses AND Times Square, but without the noise! Great room - large and spotlessly clean, bed very comfortable, good fridge (didn't use microwave so can't comment). Shame there were no tea/coffee-making facilities though. Would I recommend this hotel? Definitely!

So after booking on booking.com I was hesitant about our room. I have never been to New York City although I have traveled many places around the world. For some reason I was intimidated to go to the big city. Upon our arrival we were greeted by friendly staff and once checked in went to our room. The room was... More

When we booked the room we had done our research. We read their description that included a parking garage. Their own site states "hotels in NYC with parking without spending New York prices". The site that we booked with had pictures of the hotel. One is an outside picture of the building that shows their sign stating "free parking". Therefore,... More

Looking for a reasonable place to stay in NYC and came across the Travel Inn. Location was great and near all the attractions, room was nice and staff was very accommodating. See you soon for another family trip.

The location is the best attribute for this hotel. A convenient in site parking is also a plus (I payed $31 for a day). So, we just parked at the hotel and started our walk-tour around the city! Attractions are walking-distance, and subway stations are also around. Very very convenient location. Rooms is another story. Very outdated. The bath-tube looked... More

Flicking through the Tripadvisor photos gives a good indication of what to expect. Our room was clean and a good size, with two double beds. A refrigerator, microwave, iron and hairdryer were provided; a kettle and tea/coffee making facilities were not. Wifi is $6 per night in the room. We took this for one night and it worked reasonably well.... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
