Our family of four, including two teen-age girls, spent three nights at the Travel Inn. It was everything mentioned in the previous reviews --- and then some. The room was spacious by NYC standards and immaculately clean. Check-in was a breeze, and any questions/requests (extra...More
I read some reviews of this hotel and saw the two-star rating at some sites and was a little apprehensive about making a reservation at first. Some relatives then made plans to come to NYC by Greyhound bus, so this hotel became the most convenient...More
After reading a mixture of past reviews, we were a little aprehensive of what to expect upon arrival with 2 kids aged 10yr & 3yrs at this hotel for a 7 night duration. Well, our aprehension was quashed upon arrival to helpful staff & a...More
Even though we were warned this was a budget hotel - the free parking lured us to book.

This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the
affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

We don't have any homeless people staying in the hotel. We have two buildings. One of these buildings is housing single women with children while they await there permanent housing apartments provided by the city. These individuals are not homeless, they are simply in transition from one apartment to another. All of our guests are occupying rooms located adjacent to this building. If you are still uncomfortable with this, please feel free to contact property directly or your booking agent to modify your reservation. We will be happy to refund anything you have paid. We hope you will choose to stay with us in the fall.
