I cannot say enough great things my girlfriends and I experienced during our stay at the Waldof. We were there to celebrate birthdays and our accommodations were magnificent. The stafff was very friendly and helpful. The concierge was extremely helpful. I would not hesitate to recommend this incredible hotel to anyone to make their stay in NYC the best ever!!!

Dear Patricia, Thank you for spending such your birthday with us, and a happy belated birthday to you from all of our Waldorf family. New York is such a great setting for personal mile markers and we think the Waldorf is a great choice. It is a great pleasure to see that our True Waldorf Service was prominently featured as...

I have been staying at the Waldorf Astoria since 2004. I consider it my home-away-from-home. It is a luxurious hotel, with very attentive staff and reasonably priced by New York City standards. The location is perfect - close to everything, but not in the middle of the Times Square congestion.

This is a fabulous hotel, the history of it is also very interesting. We were on the 16th floor and had a view up Park Avenue which was amazing. The beds were so comfortable - never had such luxury in a hotel before. My only negative comment is - we had a tea and coffee sent to the room each...

Dear Elizabeth, Thank you for choosing our iconic hotel as your host. Indeed, our historic element is commonly identified as a positive in these reviews, and I encourage you to visit our historic website at waldorfarchive.org if you are interested in learning more about our legacy as the "Greatest of Them All." We arrived at noon and were given room 513. We quickly dropped our bags and headed out. When we finally got back from our day out the room lacked in many ways. There was no hot water in the very dated shower. The room was literally tucked into an alcove that overlooked a roof. The size of the room was...

I am a lifelong NY Metro area/Hudson Valley Resident. My husband and I will escape for an overnight trip to the city once or twice a year. Since we had never been to the Waldorf Astoria in NY, and this will be our last getaway before having a baby, we were looking forward to a luxury experience at one of...

Dear Trish, While HVAC is an area we are rapidly improving upon, our spacious rooms with high ceilings and signature Waldorf beds with 9-inch pillowtop mattresses are commonly identified as a highlight. I am sorry that these were not features you enjoyed during your stay- we must continue to improve. Especially since we are fortunate enough to host so many...

Stayed here recently for a trip with friends. Really good service. Hotel is looking bit tired in places but certainly not enough to complain about. Stayed in 2 rooms that were comfortable with beautiful bathrooms and fabulous beds. Only complaint too hot at night. We had Sunday brunch which was pricey but wonderful and we had cake and champagne which...

This hotel is so over hyped it's embarrassing. We used to live in New York and travel back once a month and normally stay at another property. One visit we stayed at the Waldorf Towers and it was perfectly fine, but this time we stayed in a business class room in the Park Avenue side. Our Amex Platinum travel advisor...

Dear cytjld, We were disappointed that in your words the hotel was not as grand as expected. Our soaring lobbies generally please. A small number of our rooms connect with an adjoining room for the convenience of families who want to book two rooms but require close proximity. Most of the time, these doors remain locked- but this responsibility lies...

Dear sarfrazsarah, I am so sorry we disappointed. We are fortunate to have many families visit us at the Waldorf, and we typically hear great feedback from our guests who are parents. Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
