Amazing experience! Stellar location, luxury at its finest, gracious & courteous staff. It feels like a home away from home in the heart of a quiet Upper East Side neighborhood. We loved that we could walk to Central Park and enjoy all the shopping on Madison & 5th.

Have stayed at The Lowell on 2 prior occasions with excellent service . Planned to stay again however, was completely turned off by their surcharges for terraces or fireplaces ($ 200) which are not stated on their room pricing guide. What a ripoff! Not sure if that includes fees for lighting the fireplace . What if you bring your own...

More like settling into in a wealthy friend's elegant townhouse than being in a hotel, except that your friend also has a great concierge, warm and friendly receptionists, hustling doormen, superb maid service, a terrific little restaurant, high tea, etc, etc. And your friend also has a perfect UES location on 63rd between Park and Madison. Compared to other UES...

I had always heard nice things about the Lowell Hotel. Well they were true. This is a cozy place with a great staff. Very friendly and knowledgeable concierge, Natasha was great. Rooms are well appointed and very clean. We were offered champagne upon arrival, a nice treat after a long journey to the hotel. I highly recommend this hotel.

Great boutique hotel in NYC. Great location in Upper East Side, between Madison Ave. Excellent for shopping. The staff are amazing, courteous & helpful. I usually like more modern hotel but this is just classic luxury & elegant. We were fortunate that our roon had a deck. Highly recommended!

I had heard great things about the Lowell and we were seeking a charming boutique hotel on the Upper East Side. Unfortunately our experience was extremely disappointing and we will not be back. Staying in Upper East Side

Neighbourhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighbourhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighbourhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
