What an impressive helpful staff. More than all of our requests were met with levity and gratitude. Taina..computer Goddess. Masud, could not seem to help us enough. Let us not forget Jason.... to cute, and helpful.

We stayed at The Franklin for 3 nights over Christmas 2016. We booked this hotel knowing it was a little dated with small rooms based of reading past reviews. The bathroom door in our room did not open completely due to limited space and we struggled to fit our two large suitcases. The wifi was reliable in our room, all...

Looked extensively for a bargain on a 2 night stay on the Upper East Side and booked online at a Hotel where many of our wedding guests stayed 6 years earlier. Had been promised a complimentary upgrade to a room with a King Bed & walk-in-closet but when we arrived by 7 pm were told by two very nice Front...

Hate to say it but this place took away a lot of our enjoyment from our trip. Came here in December when the temp are beyond freezing. Our room had no heat what so ever. No hot water it was luke warm. The room was a size of a closet, not exaggerating. We were living for 5 days out of...

This boutique hotel is great value including a continental buffet breakfast. Free coffee 24 hours. Very small breakfast room but with the hotel full never managed to not get a seat. Rooms are cosy but adequate with an enormous bed which was very comfortable. Room 72 located close to the lift and facing out on 86th street. Ideal quiet location...

Compliments of my daughter-in-law, I spent the night here. I had a queen room, very nice. It is a boutique style hotel in an old building. The room was freshly painted in a soft color and was spacious. The closet was large with a safe, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom small but functional, there was a desk and chair...

I stayed at this hotel last night. My room had NO HEAT. I repeat NO HEAT on a snowy December night. The front desk informed me "the heat is down" and I was offered "extra sheets." After an uncomfortable, chilly night, I complained to front desk staff the following morning when asked how my stay was. I was offered to...

Great location next to the MET where I had a professional development day. Comfy bed, bedding was luxurious. Breakfast was nice and everything couldn't have been better! Loved it! Room was small but so what. Had a decent bath and high end bath and soaps. Everyone was so nice too.

I had high hopes for this hotel. Especially considering the price. Here are just few of the reasons to avoid The Franklin.. - No WifI for free OR to buy (They recommended I use there greasy laptop by the front desk. I didn't dignify that with an answer.) - Walked in my room and the fire alarm was chirping every...

This boutique hotel is pretty average..... needs a refresh badly. The rooms are clean but uninspiring the one thing people need is the basics.....Good shower, comfortable bed and power supply by the bed to recharge phone, unfortunately I got none of the above.

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighbourhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighbourhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighbourhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
