We arrived and the service was excellent. Our room was spacious with a large bathroom. Water pressure was perfect...the place seemed quite clean but older. They provided a fine Continental Style Breakfast which was perfect for us and saved us many breakfasts out. We were surrounded by primo Korean restaurants..and we never went wrong going to them. Our only complaint...

My daughter & I have just returned from a perfect long weekend in New York. Too perfect infact which made going back to work even harder! We had a spacious twin room located at the rear of the hotel (with fridge, safe & a lovely bathroom)which was very warm and the only noise that could occasionally be heard was traffic...

Just blocks from Madison Square Garden, a block from the Empire State Building. This is a great place to stay for an incredible price.

I used Trip Advisor extensively to research our wedding and honeymoon and thought that it would be a good idea to give feedback. We stayed at the Hotel Stanford during the Blizzard of '06. The heating in our room didn't work at any time. We asked and asked and asked and asked for it to be fixed. Five nights without...

Spent 3 nights with my daughter at the Hotel Stanford. Had read the hotel was in Korea Way and was not sure what to expect - I needn't have worried, everything was fine. The hotel is run by Koreans and there were many Korean/Asian guests there, as well as plenty of Americans and Europeans. The reception staff were always helpful...

My husband and I visited NYC for the Westminster dog show in February and stayed at the Stanford Hotel on 32nd street. We had asked for a non smoking queen and when we got there they only had a double which we took for the one night. They told us we could change to a larger room the next day...

Although we didn't like the neighborhood much at all, and our room was a little seedy looking -- the dresser drawers didn't fit right, the wallpaper was peeling, there were several screw holes and scuff marks in the walls, we tried to have a good attitude, and settled in to watch some Olympics But unfortunately our room was near the...

Having read some of the previous reviews on this site, I was a bit worried about the hotel room, but we needn't have bothered. The room itself was a good size, with a fantastic view of the Empire State Building. The staff were extremely friendly, and held our bags when we arrived until our room was ready, and also after...

Okay, so it's not the Hilton. One should figure that out when the room is under $200 in NYC. I must say though that most people don't come to New York to stay in the hotel room. Yes, it is located at the beginning of Koreantown but on the other side of the hotel is Broadway. And never once did...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
