Seven years ago I visited for the first time this hotel and since then this hotel has always offered a different experience. All rooms decorated differently. The staff; from bellboys to concierge, and managers are cordially professionals. The Cipriani restaurant, the SPA, and all the areas within the hotel are artistically decorated taking you to another level of comfort, and...

The Sherry Netherlands is a beautiful luxury boutique hotel situated on the corner of East 59th and 5th avenue; directly overlooking central park and the perfect location to explore what NYC has to offer. On first impressions of entering the lobby area you'll find yourself transported back in time to an era of pure luxury and opulence, the restored ceiling...

A special place, it does not get better then this. There are many beautiful and classic hotels this is of course one but what makes this special is the staff, each one professional and so kind. I can't wait to return!

Room 211. Gorgeous & much larger than we expected. Keurig and small fridge in room with complimentary water and soda. Personalized note, chocolate, and fresh flowers awaited our arrival. Only flaw: the lovely drapes don't close fully to block out the light. Shades alone weren't enough. I used a couple binder clips I had in my purse to pull the...

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Sherry. Everything was perfect: the room, the service, the food. We were there to celebrate my daughter's birthday and they gave her a card and some delicious cupcakes. The suite was quite large and very comfortable. Beautiful furnishings. We had a complete kitchenette as well as a walk in closet. They provide complimentary...

The Sherry Netherland hotel is always marvelous and provides an excellent staff that are helpful and friendly. I also appreciate that they are a dog friendly establishment. The location is perfect on 5th avenue at central park. The suites are large and spacious and very comfortable.

Beautiful, boutique style hotel with just the right amount of class and old world charm, located in arguably the best location in Manhattan. Cipriani restaurant experience was amazing. Our room had a great view of two NYC icons - Central Park and the Plaza hotel. We will definitely be back!

We return again and again to the Sherry and wouldn't think of staying anywhere else in NYC- why mess with perfection! Can't say enough about the wonderful staff. The hotel is classic, beautiful, elegant, comfortable and old-world luxurious. The rooms are beautifully decorated and appointed. The mid-town location could not be better; Central Park at your doorstep, world-famous museums, shopping...

I had seen really good reviews about The Sherry-Netherland, but as with everything I was a little weary as these reviews are based on individual perceptions and experiences (we've stayed in quite a few hotels in NYC). But there were so many good things about it that we decided to book for a Valentine's Day Surprise for our daughters 11...

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighbourhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighbourhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighbourhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
