I stayed here a few years ago and it was a good experience. I brought the family back and I think it left more to be desired. Check-in was smooth, I was welcomed as a bonvoy member. We asked for a king room and they put us on the south side, so our room was tiny. It was difficult to even tell it was a king because it took up the room. The bathroom was cramped. Standing in the middle by the toilet, I'm certain that with a mild lean I could touch all 4 walls. The halls felt dated. The Bonvoy lounge was closed, so I opted for the welcome breakfast voucher. I had my kiddo with me so when we went to the resturant they gave us two voucher menus and one regular menu. I get that it is NY, but $10 for coffee in a hotel resturant and $15 for a bowl of cold cereal on the regular menu seemed excessive. One of the few times I've been seated at a resturant and got up and left. I dont' think it was as much about the prices (Breakfast with two free meals) would have still cost us $60-80, but the selection was limited and felt like conference food offerings. It turns out the voucher will also get you $25 credit at the starbucks in the lobby, so we did that and went to the Galexy Diner for breakfast. Our full meal there was $50 and we got exactly what we wanted.

The hotel location is great close to times square but the room are okay for NY, the beds are very small kind of too small for 2 adults even for 2 kids but clean. Our TV remote control was dead. Parked across the street from the hotel which we were told we get a discount but no the front desk refused to give us the discounted ticket so we end up paying full price for parking. The guests next door was loud and drunk and woke us up at 3:45 AM and couldn't sleep after.

This hotel was not clean at all. The carpet was dirty. The bathroom did not have tissue. The sheets were disgusting. The hallway flooded and the front desk staff acted if it was not their problem. Tell me why this is the only hotel where at night men are guarding the door and asking for your room key and room number in order to enter the building. Why not just lock the doors and force guest to use their room key. I do not want to talk to you in the middle of the night. I have never stayed at a hotel that does this. All Marriott hotels I stayed at lock their doors and if you have your room key fine and if not then that’s the guest problem. The staff were not friendly. The most unpleasant stay ever. I cannot get over the uncleanliness of the hotel. A hotel should be very clean pre and post Covid. This is why we are dealing with so many cases with people getting sick. Of course I sanitize my hotel rooms I stay in but if the staff clean the rooms properly I shouldn’t have to do anything but wipe the door handle as the housekeeping staff have to touch the door handle to exit the room. All other areas should be sanitary. Again worst hotel ever. Do not stay there. I wish I could rate it a -0.

This hotel was really nice and everyone working there was really helpful. The doorman even gave us some ideas for places to go in NYC because we had never been before! Hotel room was really nice too. The only thing is that the tv was hard to operate on the far side of the room. But we also had a great view!!!

Where to start, we booked the highest category room on the website the room was not even 250sqft as it says there and we asked if we could be moved to a bigger room, they did not have anything available. We checked in and the front desk was rude, they don't even say hi to you, but we were fine with it, its New York people are rude. Then we went up to the room, the outlets were out, there was a smell in the room and we were facing the building next to us even when we paid for a view, I called guest services and the agent did not say anything, she immediately transfer me to MAX, the assistant of front office who was even worse. We explained to him what has happened and see if we can move to a different room in which we felt needed, he told us we were entitled for asking for a room move and that, that is also what we have paid for, I did not have any inconvenience to upgrade for fee, he said no, Max was really rude and even said that we shouldn't have asked for anything else since we got an early check in that day. The story doesn't end there though we checked in the other room which was the same but this one had hair on the shower curtain and also the same bathroom smell honestly at this point we were not going to stay in the room other than to sleep so we just asked the maid to clean it. We asked Saturday night for a bottle opener 4 times, we never got it. On Monday we asked for a late check out they said they were gong to set us up until 3pm, and we had the maid opening the door while we were showering, 3 minutes after I had a call for front desk asking rudely what we were doing on the room if check out was at 11pm. Honestly I had never had a experience like this on New York or a Sheraton, and I dont like to write bad reviews but it think this is a complete scam, they were claiming we were still on the pandemic but at this point I feel it is just lack of customer service
