The location is great especially if you are using the Big Busses to get around. The standard is OK but poorer than a similar hotell in Sweden, as expected. The strange entrance with an elevator up to the lobby and then a second elevator up to the room is irritating, especially when there is/was only one elevator open from entrance...

Good Afternoon Tobias B, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. The hotel is currently undergoing an elevator enhancement. I understand your disappointment in how this affects your navigating the property. Our hotel does have a unique set up in which our main lobby is located on the 3rd floor. We are continuously striving to...

New York is an overwhelming and magically city. And this was my first time here so I was worried that I'd get lost in all the craziness. My friend and I traveled from Hawaii to spend Christmas eve and Christmas day in New York and every night we had to make our way back to the hotel, we never had...

Really enjoyed our stay in the Renaissance Times Square. Would highly recommend the location for being at the centre of everything. Some reviews say the rooms are noisey but we found it really quiet even though we had a city view room.

Great location, Easy, friendly check in. A boutique feel. Quiet. Great view. Good sized rooms. Clean rooms and common areas. Breakfast wait staff and bartenders very friendly and helpful. Limited food. Wish they had Blanton's bourbon. Would recommend to others and will stay on next visit. A Marriott property with Marriott benefits, like free wifi for card holders.

Decor in rooms was a little dated as was carpet in halls but very comfortable rooms, bed and bathroom. Lobby area was nice and view from restaurant was pretty magic. Good value for a place in the heart of Times Square. I would happily stay there again.

This place has the friendliest people I have ever seen in a city. Always smiling and willing to just have a conversation with you. Willing to give advice how the best way to get around the city. And the places to avoid!!! The hotel is close to Time Square so there are always a lively crowd.

I was a little worried about being right in the thick of the madness of Times Square, but the location was a perfect jumping off point for the musicals we were hoping to see and the breakfast room/lounge is awesome for people-watching in the square below. Happily as Marriott Gold Members we were able to upgrade to a high level...

I flew over NYC in fall 2016 and even though there was low cloud cover you can still see the intense pulsation of the light show that is Times Square, the center of Manhattan. I spent a few weeks in the hotel in early 2016 and again in early 2017. The staff is great. A co-worker has known some of...

As others have said, this hotel is in a perfect location in Times Square. The bedroom was very clean but small. However, the bathroom was larger than I expected. If you want to avoid traffic and other city noise, you should reserve a room in the higher floors. Michelle McKay the manager listened to our concerns before our stay, and...

Price is higher than other nearby hotel, however they got best view of times square at their lounge. Room and cleaness is good. Staff was not too friendly, less smiling. They got vending machine for drinks near the lift in every levels. I bought a bottle of water USD 3. Surroundings are... hershey, M&M, gift store, hardrock, bubba gump, sephora,...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
