In short, I was very disappointed. The Paramount boasts a significant history and has an ideal location in times square. Its perfect for theater and other midtown adventures - for example, directly across the street we watched the lines form to see Hamilton. However, the hotel is dark, gloomy and the guest rooms badly need updating. the rooms are very...

Location was perfect! if you want Times Square this is a fantastic hotel! You walk in and you immediately think wow what a cool hotel....and you go to your room which is tiny. I didn't mind this as it was our first time in New York and it's just a bed to rest your head after our day or sight...

I stayed here for 3 nights while attending a conference. The rooms are tiny but functional. The lobby and elevators are very dark. The location is excellent with Times Square around the corner and great access to Broadway. Centrally positioned between Central Park and Empire State building. Breakfast is expensive but there is a Corso coffee shop in the lobby...

We booked this hotel as it was close to all the normal tourist attractions and the shopping on 5th Avenue!! As it was myself and two daughters travelling we decided on a two double room (basically two double beds in the same room!), looking at the pictures and reviews we were happy. When we arrived at the hotel the outside...

Family Christmas trip to NY.. 6 family members went. We booked superior rooms, with, Queen size beds... we were given small doubles... very cramped...no space to put anything..we had to complain to change room the next day... then we were given more spacious room, but with windows to a nasty "yard", with a wall just in front. There were noises coming...

Stayed here over the New Year period and found the location brilliant. Walking distance to many of new yorks attractions. Rooms were fine considering the price I paid, they had a modern feel but you could tell the hotel was ageing which wasn't a problem. The shop in the lobby was handy and the cafe had decent coffee. Room service...

Hotel was lovely and central to everything. Room was tiny, especially for two woman sharing with two big suitcases that had to stay on the floor, so had to manoeuvre around each other, this did not in any way spoil our holiday. The room is for sleeping in and bed was comfy. Would have been nice to have a kettle...

Was skeptical due to reviews, but couldn't pass up the price. Lobby is large and cozy. Had a room with 2 double beds. On first entering the room, it seemed small and old. Once settled, it was very comfy. Beds were clean and very comfortable. Bathroom was small and could have use some new caulking, but was very clean. Complimentary...

I am from PA, living in the UK. I recently traveled all the way from Scotland to go to NYC (somewhere I am very familiar with) for a holiday. I found a good deal on the Paramount, but would have paid double to have been anywhere but that room. It was a JAIL CELL. Horrible room, so small with no...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
