We used to stay in this hotel a few times a year. We have family in New York City and this location worked well for us. The problem with this hotel is that they just don't care about guest satisfaction. The hotel is usually sold out so it doesn't matter if your satisfied with things because there is some one...

We're Marriott Gold members so they put us on the 16th floor with lounge privileges. Room thermostat settings have no relation to actual room temperature. We were hot under heavy bedding both nights we stayed there even though we set the room temp to 68 deg. F. I'd suggest a different hotel if you're temperature sensitive. Members lounge has sparse...

The hotel is great. The room was comfortable and clean and consistent with the Marriott brand standards. Staff was professional and helpful. It is an easy walk to 5th Ave, Grand Central Station and the subway. My only complaint was the night time noise outside the hotel. I was on the 12th floor and heard every siren, every dump truck...

Based on some of the negative reviews posted earlier I was a bit concerned prior to arriving. However, my experience was very positive. I was in town for a meeting at the UN and was able to get there quickly in the morning. The hotel is in a good location and is close to many restaurants and other attractions. The...

In a city full of overpriced hotels, the Marriott East Side is a hidden gem. Walkable to lots of attractions and entertainment, and a short walk to Grand Central Terminal. It is also good to have the Marriott predictability on cleanliness, safety etc. Very nice for a weekend getaway.

This hotel is in a great location but really doesn't meet Marriott's good standards. The desk clerks were fairly rude and our room was very small and really needed updated. One the good news side, the breakfast for the concierge floor was excellent with lots of offerings, the lobby is really pretty and the bar is nice. They badly need...

This hotel is mid-town east and is walking distance to Grand Central Station (trains and buses to JFK). There are some good restaurants and attractions (Times Square, Radio City Music Hall, Central Park) within an easy walk. The room price is reasonable for the location, but the rooms are on the small side. Street noise can be an issue, but...

Nice restaurant with please try atmosphere. Rooms are lovely. The only thing is that the music is a bit loud to try to have a conversation! It's convenient, in Lexington, where everything it's around you!

I stayed at this hotel 20 years ago and remembered it as being a fine place, in a good location, but with tiny rooms. I was pleasantly surprised when returning last weekend. Our room was well appointed and the bed was very comfortable. The size was fine, larger than the room that I had last time. Staff friendly. It is...

Nice hotel. It is a old hotel but nicely done. Rooms are a bit small but clean and quiet. Staff seemed willing to help and close to everything. We were here on business. My only complaint was the old elevator. It was slow.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
