With all of the commotion in NYC at holiday time, it's wonderful to know there are still hotels to be found with this level of charm and comfort AND reaonable rates! I'd stay again in an instant!

This hotel has a great location but is expensive for what it is. I had the pleasure of meeting the grumpiest receptionist in the world and we both cut our legs on the pointless bits of metal sticking out of the bottom of the bed. Small room with no natural light which is wierd and somewhat disorientating. There's better for...

We stayed at the Herald Square Hotel for six nights in the beginning of November. We booked through the hotel website 'a standard double room' several months ago and that was the only option available for our dates. As they promised early bookers 'the best room selection' I hoped that we'll be getting a new room (having read the reviews...

We have just got back from visiting New York New York, and we found this hotel to be in a fantastic position as it is right near the Empire State Building, which is approx about half way mark of Manhatten Island, the hotel was very clean, the beds were very comfortable and great pillows, our room was big enough as...

We stayed at Herald Square Hotel during our 10 day honeymoon in April. We found the hotel here at Trip Advisor and decided to try it based on the good reviews. Don´t let the impressive entrance fool you. This is a quite simple and average hotel. Look at all the candid camera pictures before you decide to stay here. Got...

My husband and I stayed here while on our honeymoon in the USA we stayed from the 24th September 2007 to the 27th September 2007 3 nights total. We had a great time at the Herald. We had one of the new refurbished Queen bed rooms. The room was nice although it was really small but aparently all New York...

I chose this hotel because of the price around $230 per night was the best I could find for a hotel with good reviews and location. We stayed 5 nights in a "large double double" - unfortunatly the hotel was full and we couldn't get a new room. The hotel is currently working through renovations. The room we had was...

I stayed at the Herald for 6 nights in a single room ... and have to say I was pleased overall. Clean, quiet, Comfy bed, free HBO, free coffee in the basement, excellent central location, fairly priced; you can't go really wrong! However there clearly was a problem with my smoke alarm, which went off several times during my first...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
